25.01.2022 Australia's team captain Lleyton Hewitt used Perana Sports TennisStats to analyse potential oppositions at the 2020 ATP Cup.

25.01.2022 Good luck for the upcoming tournaments Vanuatu Beach Volleyball.

23.01.2022 Young tennis star, Naomi Osaka, 20, has just become the first Japanese tennis player in history to win the U.S Open. Perana Sports' TennisStats can be partly attributed to this monumental moment in Japanese sport. Toshihisa Tsuchihasa represented Japan at the 1988 Olympic games in tennis but these days he wears many hats in the world of Japanese tennis. He is an executive director of the Japan Tennis Association (JTA), general manager of their High Performance department and ...the Japanese Fed Cup team captain. Tshuchihasa was instrumental in obtaining TennisStats for JTA, which has become a significantly important tool for the association. Tshuchihasa first saw TennisStats in action when it was being used by Tennis Australia during the Australian Open three years ago. For the next two years, Tshuchihasi pushed for the JTA to allow him to take out a license with TennisStats with the purpose of utilising it to help the Japan Fed Cup Team returning to the World Group. Earlier this year, JTA finally relented and purchased a licence for the software when it was given funding by Japanese Olympic Committee in preparation of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic games. Within a few months the JTA were seeing positive results. Tshuchihasa had led Japan back into the World Group by winning the Group One Asia/Oceanic tournament in India. They followed up that with a hard fought victory against Great Britain in the play off to qualify for World Group II next year. The focus was then shifted to utilise the software to assist their leading male and female players, Kei Nishikori and Naomi Osaka. JTA provides them with analysis gathered using TennisStats that has cumulated in Osaka winning the womens US Open and Nishikori reaching the semifinal in the mens draw. JTA have indicated that the use of the app will be extended to cover other Japanese players on the professional tour as well as assisting their junior athletes in training. Photo courtesy AFP.

18.01.2022 Perana Sports and VERT team up Wearable devices have been around for a long time and athletes are wearing them in training and in competition to collect biometric data that might be critical for their performance. In volleyball where height is everything, players are wearing VERT (https://www.myvert.com) devices to collect their jump data.... For the last few months, Perana Sports has been working with VERT to provide what could be the first ever piece of software in the world that incorporates biometric data with match stats and video in DVMate. Drop in VERT’s booth at the annual AVCA (American Volleyball Coaches Association) convention this year in Minneapolis to see a demo if you’re there. Or check out this video to see how quick and easy it is to incorporate the two datasets. https://youtu.be/qpuwX3IWzYs DVMate is currently under development and being tested by the Japanese and Dutch national teams along with a number of colleges in the US for the last few years. We hope to have it available on the App Store in early 2019.

13.01.2022 Japan Tennis on the rise Congratulations to Japan's Naomi Osaka in reaching the women's final of the US Open 2018. Kei Nishikori will have the opportunity his second US Open final when he faces Novak Djokovic in a semi final of the men’s draw.... Osaka and Nishikori created history in becoming the first two Japanese players to reach the semi-final stage at a Grand Slam event in the open era. Both players have been greatly assisted by the in-depth analysis provided to them by JTA analysts using Perana Sports own TennisStats. TennisStats was also instrumental in helping Japanese Fed Cup coaches and players successfully returning to the World Group earlier this year said Japan’s Fed Cup captain Toshihisa Tsuchihashi. 11.01.2022 Congratulations to one of our talented clients Ash Barty, who became world’s number one after winning the Birmingham Tennis Open last night. Barty takes the number one position from another one of Perana Sport’s clients, Japan’s Naomi Osaka. However not content with just helping to create champions on the tennis courts, Perana Sports has also been busy teaming up with SASI and Swimming Australia in creating software which hopefully will produce champions in the pool at the up...coming Swimming World Championship in Korea next month. http://sasi.sa.gov.au/news?a=564416 photos AAP & The Japan Times

05.01.2022 Naomi Osaka defeated a brave Petra Kvitova to capture the 2019 Australian Tennis Open in three tough sets (7-6, 5-7, 6-4). Winning her second Grand Slam in a row, Osaka becomes the first ever Japanese player to capture worlds number one ranking. Japan Tennis Association’s decision to take out a licence for TennisStats from Perana Sports has paid big dividends with great results coming thick and fast for the Japanese players and teams over the last 12 months.... Perana Sports held a training course at the Ajinomoto National Training Centre in Tokyo in late December 2018 for Japan’s national team coaches. The two day course was designed to give coaches better understanding of the more advance features of TennisStats and with the new found knowledge will hopefully assist in achieving bigger and better goals. 03.01.2022 Perana Sports is proud to announce that we have signed a 3 year deal with the ATC Cup to provide the tournament with the same analytic software that has helped propel Ashleigh Barty and Naomi Osaka to incredible success. Now coaches and players from 24 different countries competing at the inaugural event, being held in Sydney, Brisbane and Perth, can enjoy in-depth analysis of their own matches as well as any of the other players during the tournament. And for the first time, the analysis of doubles matches are available in the app.

02.01.2022 Perana Sports making waves Perana Sports has been contracted by Swimming Australia to produce an app called The Locker that will help the Australian swim team to win medals at this years World Championships, and more importantly at the Tokyo Olympics in 2020. The app allows coaches unprecedented quick access to swim analysis and video immediately after a race. It will also allow comparison to previous swims and other competitors analysis, making this app a game-changer.... Perana Sports was poolside last week during the Australian Swimming Championships in Adelaide working with analysts from all the state teams in testing and putting the finishing touches onto the app. The Locker is expected to be rolled out to coaches before the World Championships trials in Brisbane to be held in June this year.

02.01.2022 Congratulations to Ash Barty on winning the 2019 French Open. The win has propelled Barty to number 2 ranking in the world joining Naomi Osaka who has been number one since capturing the Australian Open earlier this year. They have won the last three women’s grand slam tennis events between them. And doing so with the help of Perana Sports’ own TennisStats app. TennisStats gives coaches and players significant advantage when it comes to analysing players own game and devising... game plans against their oppositions. The head coach of Australian women’s tennis, Nicole Pratt, has described TennisStats as a game changer and is revolutionising the way tennis is coached and played. The Australian Federation Cup team will be playing against France in the final later this year. And once again TennisStats will play a big part in helping Australian coaches and players preparing for this important occasion. Photo: EPA
