25.01.2022 Tuning up for 2020
25.01.2022 At the final round of the 2017 CAMS Carnarvon Motel WAORC, the race within the race will be between Mal Yeardley and Jared Percival for the outright championship! Will Percival take his second WAORC outright championship? Or will Yeardley claim the top step for the first time?
25.01.2022 Kalgoorlie comeback! The weekend started with the formalities on Friday and a memory testing recon of 150km. Roll on Saturday morning and its prologue time. A clean and fast run saw us come in 4th on the time sheets and a good place to be for section 1 start. The simple plan for the weekend of keeping the car out of trouble given the championship standings were out in force for section 1. Coming in 6th on corrected time. A couple of minor issues that have plagued us all ye...ar were the only concern during service, but nothing to hold us back come Sunday. Sunday - the track had bedded in and was claiming a few along the way. We finish the morning lap, pushing a lot harder than the first section. Now running 3rd outright with 150km to go. Championship contender Mal running 2nd, we knew it was a tightrope, and needing to hold positions as they were to seal the title. A few nervous movements early on in the last lap and then suddenly we pass 171 on side of the track getting some running repairs. We had held position comfortably all weekend, but now the pressure was off and purely survival to the line. That safe, we even pulled up at the midway pit checkpoint to have the crew check over the car. A long last 150km it would be, but nothing sweeter than greeting the chequered flag. 2nd outright, 1st in class. A big shout out to good mate and competitor Mal Yeardley on the year and battles had. Will remember them for a long time to come. To our sponsors and their support on doing a full season of events, cant be done without you. 21.01.2022 Three Springs 360 Heading to the event we were quite excited with the dry weather forecast after the drowning last year! Kicked off with a short sharp prologue we placed 6th, a good spot to be. Within the first section of 10km we passed 2 cars with issues and a clear dust free run became wide open to us. Pushing hard throughout we came in 2nd on the road and on time with some healthy time gaps behind. Roll on Sunday morning, the first lap saw us hit the lead on track for a...round 30km, before the #44 TT Jimco reeled us in which was to be expected. Either way it was good fun trying to hold them at bay for the time that we did. Might be time for a few hairdryers With that excitement out of the way we continued to run our own race maintaining 2nd outright. This was to be the case for the final section, the track had deteriorated and it was just a matter of being as clean as possible. We made it to the finish, apart from sticky brakes the car was perfect all weekend long. A pleasure to drive. 2nd outright and class win the result. Thanks to all the organisers and volunteers on their efforts. Its always a highlight event of the year. Thanks to our sponsors Ray White Carnarvon, and support from SS Racetech and CCR Hose & Fittings. #119 See more
21.01.2022 Jared Percival and Colin Doney are currently sitting 1st and 2nd in the points as we head into the second half of the season. Will either of these 2 take out th...e title? Or will the Mid West Challenge throw up a new contender? Who are you tipping to surge to the front at Round 4 of the 2018 CAMS, Carnarvon Motel WAORC? See more
20.01.2022 We were at it again on the weekend at the mid west challenge in Badgingarra. A new track for the year and a challenge it was. About halfway through our recon we knew it wasnt going to be a smooth weekend. Electrical problems stopping the car mid lap. This was then backed up with our worst prologue of the year, starting us out of 11th. Problems would return just 500m from the finish of section 1, the car stopping and losing valuable minutes. Sunday morning saw us starting 6...th on the road, we ticked the morning 2 laps off with little fuss and the problems hopefully behind us. Enter the afternoon, lap 1 saw the car get beached after trying to avoid a major hit. Lap 2, a bee stung driver Jared under the helmet which was far from ideal. All in all the chequered flag was greeted in 7th outright and 4th in class. Hats off to all volunteers and WAORRA for putting a new event so well. Thanks to sponsors CCR Hose & Fittings, Proud Race Engines, Perth Insurance services and Hitachi See more

18.01.2022 2018 Gascoyne Dash Started the weekend on Friday with a very clean prologue run which would see us starting from 4th for day 1, a great to place to be behind 3 pro cars. Day 1- 202km to Gascoyne junction with no recon we were all running blind on a new track. Around the 20km mark we had a large moment in 5th gear which took the wind out of sails. I dont think the grove came back at all for next 2 hours, but we made it down in 5th place. Settled in for the night and soaked ...in the 40 degree junction heat. Day 2- return leg to Carnarvon We ticked the first 50km and most difficult of the track off steadily, before a couple of breakdowns in front left us in plenty of clear air coming home. Maintaining steady gaps we came home to Carnarvon in 3rd outright and 1st in class. Thanks to all the GORRC committee and organisers. Most of all to our sponsors for helping us get here, Ray White Carnarvon SS Racetech Cheers See more
15.01.2022 Bencubbin 400 race report! 50+ entries, 80km laps, enduro format. Saturday formalities out of the way it was time for prologue. Neat and tidy run and came in 9th on the time sheets. Was time to fire up the driver as conservative wasnt going to cut it in a field of 50. Short sharp run for section 1 and we shot up the time sheets to be 3rd on the road for the Sunday 400 enduro. Roll on Sunday morning, strategy was to play a part with the option of taking pit stops at your ...chosen point. We dropped a position on lap 1 to a pro car, but then held a constant pace for the next 3 laps as we entered the pits after lap 4. A quick look at the times and there was to be no easing up as the que close behind was long. Another solid lap and we greeted the chequered flag home in 3rd outright and 1st in class. A great result with such a quality field of cars. Big thanks to waorra and all the volunteers on a great event as always. To the sponsors that help us get here Ray White Carnarvon SS Racetech Appreciate the help that comes our way See more
15.01.2022 2018 grand final - Kalgoorlie desert race. Equation seemed simple enough for back to back titles, top 9 and within 3 positions of car 406! Coming off 3 straight podiums confidence was high we could get the job done. The month lead up and issues in the shed might have dented that a little, we were happy to be greeting the starting grid none the less. Friday formalities, recon of the track looked demanding and a challenge. Then into town for the night with the cars on show i...n the Main Street of Kalgoorlie. Saturday morning prologue, felt like some time was left on the track at a few points, but ultimately it was a clean run. 7th place to start. Section 1, the goal was to keep out of trouble, we did that, moving up to 5th on the times sheets. No issues overnight from the day, roll on Sunday! The morning section again went great, we were closing in now. Still running a comfortable 5th, well within top 9 championship requirement. We had a large gap back to that position, turned out we would need it. 40km into the last 125km we hit problems. At the time we thought our race was over, the motor sounded all but done, how were we going to do another 80km. Very slowly was the answer, not revving the car above 3000 rpm, we slowly but surely ticked off the kilometres. The last 20 felt endless, but we finally made the chequered flag. Dropping back to 8th outright, but still enough to seal the championship. Back to back titles a very surreal feeling. Thanks to all the people that have helped out throughout the year. 12.01.2022 Round 3 of the year at Bencubbin over the weekend and it turned into good one. We completed prologue to come in 4th of the 40 strong field. A short section Saturday afternoon and we were lucky to survive and still hold down 4th on the road after the power steering pump failure. Replacing overnight we were good to go again for 300km of racing on Sunday. A fast 300km it was to be as each lap time was on the improve throughout the day. A big effort on the last lap and greeting the chequered flag in 3rd outright and 2nd in class. Big shout out to Waorra on a great event! Thanks to sponsors CCR Hose & Fittings, Proud Race Engines, Prime Agspread and Perth Insurance services for supporting this year
11.01.2022 Last weekend saw us kick off the year with the Waorc opener at Perenjori. After starting 8th on the road we steadily improved throughout the weekend to get the car home 4th outright and taking the class win. Car performing faultlessly all weekend long. Thanks to the organisers and volunteers for the event. Onwards to the next one
11.01.2022 Jared Percival has battled engine gremlins which restricted him to 3000rpm in the final section to bring his Prolite home in 8th outright. Unofficially this will net him the 2018 CAMS Carnarvon Motel WAORC. This is the 3rd Outright championship win and 2nd in a row for Percival Motorsport
11.01.2022 Its down to 2 as we head to the Black Diamond Drilling Kalgoorlie Desert Race. Find out who is in the hunt and what they need to do to claim the outright 2018 CAMS, Carnarvon Motel WAORC
11.01.2022 Round 1 Perenjori 360. We completed recon and it was obvious the organisers had been busy, a lot of new track, far more technical than years gone by, a bit of everything, plenty of rocks in some areas. Even some pre race rain to make it interesting. We had a great prologue and were happy to start 4th on the road. A steady pace in section one, we got around carefully, still 4th on time. It was clear the canams were pulling plenty of time in parts of the track. A cue was for...ming. Sunday morning we upped the pace, and suddenly found ourselves 2nd at the break. The afternoon was all about applying as much pressure as we could. The first 3 on the road were all very close, knowing it was going to come down to seconds for 2nd/3rd place. We managed to hold down 2nd outright and get the class win. A great result to start the year, the car running great bar some sticky breaks for the majority of the weekend. Thanks to our sponsors for the support Earthtech Contracting Pty Ltd Ray White Carnarvon Some footage during the week
10.01.2022 Jared Percival from Percival Motorsport has crossed the line provisionally in 2nd outright in the Black Diamond Drilling Kalgoorlie Desert Race which should be enough to clinch the 2017 CAMS Carnarvon Motel WAORC

05.01.2022 Prestige Freightlines Three Springs 420. A track that has a little bit of everything, but is always a challenging drive. Our prologue run was clean, but did feel a few seconds were left out on track, the results came through and starting 5th behind two trucks was hardly the worst place to be. We set our own rhythm for the first section, we had clear air and tried to make the most of it. Unbeknown to us there were a few with issues ahead which saw us finish the day in 2nd o...utright. Overnight check, the car was in good order and ready for a long tough Sunday. The morning section again went to plan, we traded lap times with Brad in 3rd, and eventually pipped us by 1 second over a 140km section. Close racing. Roll on the afternoon and final section of the event. About 20km in we struck trouble, an engine issue, which forced short shifting below 4,000. Essentially it was just survival mode to make it to the finish. We lost around 10 minutes in comparison to previous sections. We made it in the end, just a little slower than planned. Fortunately we came away with 2nd outright and 1st in class. Great event as always by WA Off Road Racing Association - Waorra Thanks to all the volunteers and officials for the time put in. To our sponsors Earthtech Contracting Pty Ltd & Ray White Carnarvon, thanks for the ongoing support and enabling us to race. 02.01.2022 Bencubbin 400 race report. The short one would say we prologued 3rd and finished 3rd. But it wasnt as easy as it sounds. We had the perfect prologue which allowed us great track position on many other cars, and then managed to build a solid gap on Saturdays 135km run. As Sunday progressed, the V8s were starting to wear us down slowly. But the Toyota V6 packed plenty of punches all day and managed to hold 3 charging more powered cars behind. The 3rd outright being our 6...th straight outright finish at this venue. Not a bad record at WAs fastest track on the calendar. Thanks for the great photos as always Brett Sandells, Peregrine Precision photography. To our sponsors Earthtech Contracting Pty Ltd and Ray White Carnarvon for your ongoing support. Hope to have some footage down the railway line up within the week. Cheers See more
