24.01.2022 We have had a huge amount of support from local businesses who are keen to help raise money for the local Rural Fire Brigade. What this means is....lots of raffle prizes!! We are creating hampers full of amazing gifts and experiences from Peregian and Noosa businesses. Soon we will announce a link where you can buy a raffle ticket, even if you are not able to attend the events on Saturday 5th. Frosting Cakery raised $1,300 for the Verrierdale Rural Fire Brigade - thank you to Toni and your wonderful volunteers! 15.01.2022 Sunshine Coast Council is providing the community an opportunity to voice their opinions on Council service delivery and the outlook for the region over the next five years through a community satisfaction survey. The online community survey is available until December 4th 2020 at https://haveyoursay.sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au/community-surv. Residents and ratepayers can have their say on a range of subject matters, including parks and recreational facilities, local roads and ...pathways, libraries, pest management and the maintenance of our natural environment. Survey results will be used to help shape a number of important documents that guide council’s decision making, including council’s new corporate plan which will set council’s direction for the next five years.

14.01.2022 Hi friends, For those who came along to the Family Fun Day this year and tried the amazingly delicious Frosting Cakery cake stall treats, you will not be surprised to learn that Toni's fabulous chocolate brownie mix has been nominated for an award! Toni and her team very generously have raised thousands of dollars for the Rural Fire Brigade through her cake stalls. If you love her work and want to support you can vote at the link below!

14.01.2022 Just two of the fabulous donations we have received to raise funds for a shed renovation for the Verrierdale Rural Fire Brigade. Both the Watermelon Red hamper (value $500) and beautiful handmade cotton/bamboo quilt lovingly sewn by Robyn from QCWA Tewantin Noosa will be available for silent online auction from tomorrow. Keep an eye out!!

13.01.2022 Thanks to Llew O'Brien MP for his kind words, his support for our recent fundraiser and donations of personally signed wine from the Prime Minister, Opposition Leader and the Speakers of the House (of which Llew is the Deputy). The wines were couriered from Canberra as Llew realised he would not be able to attend the event due to quarantine following Parliament. The wines were auctioned on Saturday night and raised $525 for the Verrierdale Rural Fire Brigade. Llew also donated two tickets to attend the event to Pam Murphy (worth $360) whose house was lost in the fires. She had a ball!!

07.01.2022 For those keen to support the magnificent work our local Rural Fire Brigade and many others did in September last year, please come along on the 5th September. If you are unable to make it, there will also be an option to donate to the renovation of the shed to house the new fire truck at Verrierdale Rural Fire Brigade. The event will be operating under a COVID-Safe Plan and refunds will be providing if anyone needs to cancel due to illness or isolation requirements.

04.01.2022 On this day last year, a dangerous fire at Peregian Springs was bearing down on the community. Strong wind gusts propelled the fire and forced residents to evac...uate. More than 130 firefighting appliances (including FRS and RFS), 8 aircraft and 300 staff and volunteers were deployed. Unfortunately, one home was lost and one damaged, however it is a testament to our crews that there was no loss of life. Peregian Springs Sept. 2019
