21.01.2022 Can I move house during stage 2 lockdown in SA? No. You may only leave your residence if you are an emergency services worker or providing essential services, to receive medical care including COVID-19 testing, to obtain medical supplies, to obtain essential food supplies (one person from the household, once per day), ‘end of life’ visits or in an emergency situation.

21.01.2022 Are you looking to benefit from the HomeBuilder Grant? Just a reminder applications close midnight 14 April 2021.

20.01.2022 Thank you for your patience while we work through the strict COVID lockdown measures imposed by the government and the impact that has on our clients, settlements and business. The important things to note: conveyancing has not been included as an essential service... removalists are not regarded as an essential service moving house is not an exception to leave home the handing over possession of a property and the exchanging of keys by a real estate agent is prohibited Land Services are not regarded as an essential service and have closed their physical office electronic settlements through PEXA are able to continue. not all conveyancing transactions are able to be done electronically At Perfectly Conveyed we are set up to work from home and are able to continue to do so, however, there are complexities around settling property during the lockdown. In reality, unless the property is vacant land or tenanted with the tenant and rental agent continuing on after settlement, settlements will not be able to occur safely without risks. At Perfectly Conveyed we have been working hard reviewing every contract that will be affected by the shutdown. We have contacted each client to update them on their individual circumstances, contractual obligations, risks of settling and any implications of not settling during this time. We have been in negotiations with conveyancers, lawyers, banks and financiers to settle as many properties as possible but most of all working collaboratively to ensure the best interests and wellbeing of our clients is paramount. We would like thank all our clients for their patience, support and cooperation during this unprecedented time. We are all in this together. Be kind and stay safe!
