16.01.2022 G O A L S E T T I N G I use to HATE goal setting when I was training. Every season I’d sit down with my coach and make new goals. But I felt like it was a stupid question...isn’t the goal to always win? What I didn’t realise was how to set goals properly...what my coach was trying to get at, was HOW are you going to achieve your goal? What will you do every day, every week, every month to win?... The point is that whatever the goal, it’s not really about the goal, it’s about the PROCESS to get there. There’s no point trying to win if you haven’t trained for it each day, there’s not point trying to lose weight if you haven’t put in place strategies to achieve weight loss, there’s no point trying to be BETTER if you don’t work for it. So whatever your goal, think about HOW you will get there, what will you DO every day, every week and every month to achieve it? Focus on the process...then your goal won’t be such a pipe dream. And if it’s important enough, you’ll make time for it
