20.01.2022 The Community Houses have closed during this health pandemic, so our belly dance classes are on hold too. I will post here when Aaliyah Belly Dance & Drumming are up and running again. Likewise, with people having to isolate and avoid community gatherings the Van Diemens Land Pirate Crew will get back to bringing the fun once this health concern is over. Stay safe x

19.01.2022 If you are interested in training in Martial Arts including sword contact Jason Huston or Ann-Marie Hammond at Van Diemens Land Pirate Crew we have training each week in either Devonport/Latrobe one week and then Launceston the alternate week. If training outdoors there is no cost. If we hire a room there will be a donation towards room hire. If you are interested in learning hand drumming on the Egyptian goblet shaped drum called the Darabuka please contact Ann-Marie Hammond... at Aaliyah Belly Dance & Drumming. 15.01.2022 Aaliyah Belly Dance classes have been on a break this year due to myself (Ann-Marie Hammond) needing the downtime to rehab my back as it had gotten worse. I have been living with chronic pain since injuring my back at work in Jan 2000 and then was in a car accident 10 months later. So in 2020 my back had deteriorated and was giving me grief so i took the downtime due to covid to rest and recuperate. And now i am re-emerging from that and actively exercising to get back to dancing :) I am currently working on all new choreographies for 2021. I will advertise classes as we get closer to kick starting things back. Aaliyah Belly Dance & Drumming looking forward to getting glammed up in pretty costumes and dancing with my lovely dance students again.
