14.01.2022 Impress your guests this Christmas with our Baked Ham with a Marmalade Glaze Recipe below Top tip: You can mix it up with a honey, maple syrup, pineapple or brown sugar glaze ... Ingredients Half leg ham, on the bone 1 cup marmalade Whole cloves, to stud 800g cherries, to garnish Top tip: You can mix it up with a honey, maple syrup, pineapple or brown sugar glaze Method 1. Preheat oven to 170C and place shelf to the lowest position. 2. Carefully remove the rind from the ham, making sure you don't trim all the fat. 3. Use a small sharp knife to score the fat into a diamond pattern, about 5mm deep. 4. Transfer the ham to a large roasting pan and pour in 1 cup of water. 5. Spread the marmalade over the ham then place a clove in the middle of each diamond of fat. 6. Cover loosely with foil and bake for 1 hour. 7. Remove the foil, glaze again and bake for another 20 minutes or until the surface of the ham is golden and caramelised. 8. Remove the ham from the pan to a large chopping board and rest for 15 minutes. 9. Meanwhile, pour the pan juices into a small saucepan and bring to a gentle boil, reduce the heat and simmer until a nice thick syrup result Recipe from https://www.iga.com.au/recipes/ham-marmalade-glaze/

13.01.2022 Want to try out a new treat on Christmas Day? Try out this Christmas Brownie Carrot Layer Cake. Recipe below Ingredients Green's Traditional Brownie 380g... Green's Traditional Carrot Cake 470g 2 eggs (for brownie) 80g butter, melted (for brownie) 1 egg (for carrot cake) 80mL vegetable oil (for carrot cake) 250g block soft cream cheese (for cream cheese icing) 120g soft butter (for cream cheese icing) 1 teaspoon Vanilla Essence (for cream cheese icing) 3 Cups Icing Mixture, sifted Method 1. Preheat oven to 180 Degrees C (160C fan forced) and lightly grease and line the base and sides of cake pans. 2. Prepare brownie mix and carrot cake mix as directed on pack. Pour each of the mixes into prepared cake pans and bake for 25 - 30 minutes. 3. Allow baked brownie and cake to sit in pans for 15 minutes prior to inverting onto cooling rack to cool completely. 4. Place cream cheese and butter into a large mixing bowl. Using an electric mixer, mix until combined and creamy. Add vanilla extract, contents of Carrot Cake Icing mix and icing mixture. Mix on low speed until combined then increase to medium speed for 1-2 minutes or until icing is thick and smooth. 5. Slice cooled carrot cake in half horizontally, to create two even layers and place the base onto a serving plate. Spread 1 cup of prepared cream cheese icing mix over the base of carrot cake and spread to the edges. Top with brownie layer, top side down and repeat. Top with carrot cake layer and spread remaining icing over top and sides of cake. 6. Decorate top of the cake with fresh cherries, stem side up. Let us know how this one goes. 05.01.2022 Fancy a bit of Christmas Baking this week? Why not try this Cadbury Choc Swirl Pavlova! Recipe below Ingredients 100g CADBURY Baking dark chocolate (70% cocoa), chopped... 6 egg whites 1 cups (330g) caster sugar 1 Tbsp cornflour 2 tsp white vinegar 250g strawberries 50g CADBURY Baking dark chocolate (70% cocoa), extra 300ml thickened cream 100g CADBURY Baking white chocolate, chopped 250g PHILADELPHIA original block cream cheese, softened cup (40g) icing sugar 2 x 30g CADBURY FLAKE Bars, crumbled Method 1. Preheat oven to 120C. Line an oven tray with baking paper. Mark a 20cm circle on paper. Turn paper, upside down, onto tray. 2. To make pavlova, place chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl; microwave on 80% power for 60-90 seconds, in bursts, until just melted. Cool slightly. Beat egg whites in a clean small bowl with an electric mixer until soft peaks form; gradually add caster sugar, beating until dissolved after each addition, and mixture is thick and glossy. Fold cornflour and vinegar through meringue mixture; spoon meringue inside marked circle on tray. Dollop with chocolate and using a pallet knife swirl chocolate through meringue. Bake meringue for 1 hours or until dry to the touch. Turn oven off, leave meringue to cool in oven with door ajar. 3. Meanwhile, to make choc-dipped strawberries, place extra dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl; microwave on 80% power for 60-90 seconds, in bursts, until just melted. Dip strawberries a third of the way into chocolate and place on a sheet of baking paper. Refrigerate for 15 minutes or until set. 4. To make topping, place cream and white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl; microwave on 80% power for 60-90 seconds, in bursts, until almost melted. Stir to combine; cool. Beat cream cheese and icing sugar in a large bowl with an electric mixer until smooth; gradually beat in chocolate mixture until smooth and combined. 5.
