21.01.2022 Planning your transport options when heading to Permaculture Fest this Sunday? Options: Train and ride the FREE shuttle bus: Leave your car at home and catch a... train to Midland then a FREE shuttle bus to Fest. Shuttle buses leave Midland Station every 15 minutes and drop you right at the Fest entrance...and return every 15 mins. Commencing 9.45 with last shuttle leaving Fest at 4.30. Drive and ride the FREE shuttle bus: We have very limited parking available at the Fest grounds so if you are bringing your car, maybe park at Midland Station and still catch the bus! :-) Drive and Park at Event: There will be parking (until full) at Swan Valley Adventure Centre via Yule Ave and at Swan Christian College off Great Northern Hway. Parking is limited. Share Ride: This is a Sustainability focused Festival so why not try to Car Pool using RIDEVU app, its a great way to share your ride, share your travel costs and meet new people. https://ridevu.com///carpool/permaculture-fest-ride-share/

20.01.2022 FEEDBACK WANTED: What an amazing day yesterday at the first ever Permaculture Fest...and the weather gods were very kind. :-) Thanks to everyone that attended, we hope you had a ball....and now get ready for next year :-) We would love your feedback and have put to our three questions. 1: What areas can we do better in or change (yep does include signage, and info around the grounds!); ... 2: What should we add to the next Fest; and 3: What did you enjoy most about the Fest. Thanks to all our volunteers for your help before and on the day, and to all the fantastic and inspiring speakers and entertainers, and great informative and interactive stalls around the grounds. Such an event could not have been done without you. You are all sooo much appreciated. Thanks also Swan Valley Adventure Centre team and the Swan SES and Swan Bush Fire Brigade...your wonderful organised support and enjoyment in helping out with the Fest was obvious and appreciated. The Fest Team :-) Oh, and thanks to our most generous sponsors. Healthway Act-Belong-Commit, LotteryWest, and City of Swan. You rock!

We could never have put on this huge free festival without the help of our sponsors, Healthway Act-Belong-Commit, LotteryWest, and City of Swan. Please share with everyone you know, we want to see lots of new families and faces.

16.01.2022 Permaculture Fest has limited parking onsite so we strongly recommend you make the most of our free shuttle bus service right to the front door. Catch a train to Midland or drive there and jump on the Shuttle Bus leaving every 15 minutes. Bus shuttles start at 9:45am and run till 4:30 on the return. https://www.facebook.com/Permaculture-Fest-1699582213643165/?fref=ts

15.01.2022 Permaculture Fest will have Disability Parking Permit holders bays available to those displaying permits. Please drive down Yule Ave until the road block (for buses and staff access) and present your permit and need for a car park or drop off. You will be allowed through, then proceed to the marked space on the map and you will be met and allocated a car park by a Fest volenteer.
15.01.2022 Rare opportunities to see Joel Salatin of Polyface farm fame, an intelligently design regenerative farm employing a large community and empowering a farm region. This is the power of well set up and support farms. Lots to be learned and inspired by this fellow. This is a 2 hour free session and I also recommend a 1 day $100 workshop at Serpentine. -https://www.facebook.com/events/1276698482379656/
14.01.2022 Getting to Permaculture Fest: If you choose not to take the Free shuttle bus from Midland Train station, and you drive your car straight to site there will be parking (until full) at Swan Valley Adventure Centre via Yule Ave and at Swan Christian College off Great Northern Hway. This is a Sustainability focused Festival so why not try to Car Pool using RIDEVU app, its a great way to share your ride, share your travel costs and meet new people. https://ridevu.com///carpool/permaculture-fest-ride-share/ Parking will be limited, if spaces are full you will have to drive back to Midland and catch the shuttle bus, so why take the risk, drive straight to the train station and catch the shuttle bus.

11.01.2022 Looks like the weather has done its thing today and tonight. 20% chance of 0-0.4mm (i.e. ....none ?) for the Fest Wooohooooo! But it may be worth bringing a brolly to the Fest just in case. :-) The Fest Team have been doing final preparations all day, and we are so looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow. Don't forget...you don't have to drive - we have a Free shuttle bus leaving the Midland Train Station every 15 mins and right to the front entrance.

04.01.2022 We need your Help please. We have a number of simple fun volunteer spots for people to help the kids (and adults) complete the stations of Down the Permaculture Path. To make it simple we have made two slots 10-12:30 and 12:30-3:00, if you can do part of that spot but not all that would also be a great help. Community festivals need a community of support. We appreciate yours, thanks to those that are already volunteering on another stalls. We will post up so other opportunities soon. https://signup.com/cli/invitation/6775657374/1634180/false
