Everyday should be R U O K Day because humans in this fast paced world have lots of external pressures and dealing with them alone can be impossible sometimes. If someone seems a bit off, ask them Are you OK? it is simple and can make the biggest difference and you might not even know!

21.01.2022 No one at the job is focused and on task 100%, we want to interact with colleagues and feel apart of the team. We may do or say the wrong thing with the right intentions. We are all human but there are some habits that need to stop. 1. Emotional at work - We can all feel overwhelmed or not get along with everyone in the office, however, it pays to remember that this is not uncommon and seek help if you need it. Do not let your emotions overflow, take a five, get a coffee, ta...ke yourself away from the situation. Please remember if you are having a really tough time, the best thing you can do for yourself, is ask for help ! Whether it from an external helpline, HR, colleague or employer. Being the best you that you can be in the most important thing. 2. Procrastination - While letting your mind wonder about family time, the weekend or any other item that the task at hand is common and valid at time, it can quite quickly turn into procrastination. Reduce your distractions, put your phone to silent, close all unnecessary tabs, switch everything to do not disturb, break down the task to more achievable steps. Have deadlines ? Prepare a timeline to ensure you stay on track. Above all else believe in yourself to get things done quickly, you go this ! 3. Running Late - Getting work after your start time ? Walking in late to a meeting ? Missing appointment ? Easy ? Set all watch or phone 15 minutes fast and be prepared the night before for the next day. 4. Bad language - Are you concerned with coming across as polite, professional and respectable ? Many people find swearing and crude comments inappropriate at work. You may unintentionally offend someone. Keep the bad langue to a minimum and you will be surprised how differently people may perceive you. 5. Speaking negatively about others - Can you hear a voice in your head? Is it saying "If you have nothing nice to say, do not say anything at all." Mum is right ! Speaking negatively and gossip can end badly for everyone ! In situation where others try and engage you with gossip, take the high ground, walk away. How many bad habits do you notice that you do ? Do not be too hard on yourself. We all have things to work on !

Employers must ensure that the content shown in an individual social media profile does not detract from securing top applicant for their roles, as over half of candidates report editing their own profiles to appeal t...o a potential employer such as altering visibility settings or removing photos, tagged items or other information investing in the content shown may prove to be a fruitless excise. Job seekers expect to be considered for a role according to establish processes, and it is within these parameters that businesses should address concerns about values or attitudes that may be held by a prospective employee. Assessment centres, psychometric testing and other interactive exercises are often better placed answers to these quested than personal social media profiles. Businesses should also be careful to manage the risk associated with violating data protection laws or other legislation when using personal social media in the recruitment process. Off Dale went from bank to bank depositing the necessary wage in each persons account to ensure that no-one was inconvenienced with the system error. 01.01.2022 Here you are a week in to 2020!! Are your staff as motivated as they were before Christmas? Are they kicking the goals you want them to?... Are they working together like the team they were before all this time off? Its really hard to get back in to it after the Holiday Season with so much partying, eating & drinking (more than you know you should), travelling or camping. Whatever your staff did or didnt do, having time off can be relaxing and refreshing BUT can also be a HUGE blow in motivation and momentum. What can you do about that? How are you going to get your staff back in full swing? Hitting those deadlines again! Heres five quick tips to getting in to 2020 with greater motivation, productivity & teamwork Compliments can be great motivators! Pick something small and say Good job You might be surprised how motivating that is and not just to that one person, check out the the effect that has on them AND the others working next to them! You will be building a strong team with a small amount of effort. Ask for feedback! Your staff will appreciate an opportunity to let you know what they think (remember not all feedback is going to be positive, so how you respond to the feedback is MEGA important. Keep your poker face on) Set clear goals! Let your staff know exactly what is expected and stick to the plan. If you need to revisit the plan thats cool and you will probably have to do that a few times to get the outcome right just remember stay calm, say what you mean & mean what you say. Lead by example!
