02.01.2022 Perry Bird Pickets are delighted to be involved in the restoration of the grave of Tom Wills. Once we had assessed the damage to the decorative iron work surrounding the epitaph on the stone, we were able to reproduce the original and intricate components and restore the crypt to its former glory. Graeme Bird, our Managing Director has a keen interest in restoration and embraced this work with relish. All of us at Perry Bird Pickets have been very moved by the life story of Tom Wills and applaud all those who have been involved in the restoration of one of our most important sporting legends. We hope that this will bring into the public domain what a truly interesting man Tom Wills was.
