Baker Rhys has been working on this masterpiece for days, and is just about to fill it to the brim with lollies and gingerbread people and attach the roof. This very special edition, one of a kind Gingerbread House will be sold for $150, and the entire sale will go towards supporting the work of Smith Family this Christmas. So be quick! We try and help out as much as we can, and we have a range of celebratory cakes like these available in our cabinet. Of course if its at all possible, its best to order, because its a bit heartbreaking when someone calls and we have already sold out of birthday cake to someone else...

This year we are closing for 4 days over the whole Christmas weekend, so make sure you come and see us before the end of the day on Christmas Eve. After that we will be open every day except for New Years Day, with slightly reduced trading hours.

04.01.2022 Today we farewelled a Perryman’s stalwart! Glenn has been a part of our team for over eight years, and we have loved his dedication and hard work, along with his humour and kindness. Several years ago, he came out from tending the ovens and said I’ve just made some bread, if you’d like to try some. Before we knew it, ciabatta and sourdough were a key part of our daily baking! So if you love our bread, you definitely have Glenn to thank. That’s the kind of thoughtfulness w...e have always appreciated about Glenn, he doesn’t just come in to do a job, but he has cared about his work and has constantly strived to be the best. He has played a huge role in mentoring our younger baking staff, and they will be sorry to see him go. One of Glenn’s passions has always been cycling, and we have been proud to support him in his many fundraising cycling endeavours such as his annual participation in The Great Cycle Challenge, and riding to Melbourne. This year he was half way through riding across the continent and had to cut it short due to Covid border closures, and we hope he has the chance to make another attempt very soon. Glenn rides to work almost every day, in almost every weather, but this week we had a first when he arrived on his new Penny Farthing! We wish Glenn all the best as he moves on to other ventures. He has been given a lifetime access to Perryman’s sourdough, so we hope we will still see him in the shop from time to time.
