You will never look the same as anyone else and should not compare yourself to others. Comparison in the health and wellness space is something that does more harm than good. If you want to have the best body and mind you can have, do something that works for you, not because some influencer says you can look like them. ... No matter your age, gender or body type you can have the best body for you if you find what works for you and you put in the work. Stop comparing yourself to others because you are never going to be the same as anyone else and thank goodness for that. 21.01.2022 After 10 + years in the health and fitness industry the most common problem I find with clients is fear which causes paralysis of some kind. The great fear I have encountered is the fear of failing. This fear paralyses so many people into inaction that they go years without having what they truly want all because of a fear they MAY not succeed. I often reframe the question and ask what if I do succeed? What would happen then? ... It’s a simple tip that helps overcome the fear of failing and I can guarantee you when you attempt something again and you’re faced with the question what if I fail? 15.01.2022 I get asked a lot how did you make the changes in your life to change or improve things - there’s no simple answer. For me I found that when I could no longer endure of where I was, that I accepted I needed to change, I lent into it wholeheartedly and went for it. It wasn’t easy and I did stumble but the knowledge of how I felt by staying where I was, was harder than making the change I just went for it. For those who’ve read my story (check out my website if you haven’t) ...the day I realized that I was severely obese, in a toxic relationship and ultimately in a career that I no longer enjoyed was the first day on a path to change my life. What came after that discovery was easier than coming to the realisation. Admitting not only to myself but to others that I was no longer happy provided the impetus to change. For most of those around me they could already see where I was, they just needed me to see it. The reason I created @personallytrained was to give other people inspiration that they could have change in their life and am so proud that I have been able to do that and continue to do that for so many people. If you’re reading this and thinking I can relate or you feel you need to bring about change, try and see yourself as the happier or healthier person or having the job or relationship you want. If you are wanting to bring about change in your life follow these three steps: BE : be what it is you desire. Act as though your life has already changed. ... DO: do the things a person who has what you desire does. If it’s weight loss make better food choices, go and exercise. HAVE: If you attempt the first two things you will start to see and believe that you can have what it is that you desire. Your desire for change will grow and the dream will be achieved. Sounds simple? It is - the challenge lies in staying the course, trusting the process and not allowing other things to get in your way.
