We will be holding a General Personal Safety for Women Workshop in the new year so keep any eye out!... These two Violence Prevention workshops are FREE to attend and covers all aspects of self protection in a safe and supported space Workshop includes: different types of abuse and violence, different types of avoidance and resistance as well as learning physical techniques and strategies for self protection How much you participate is entirely up to you! 20.01.2022 Today we attended the No More Violence Breakfast 2020 with our friends from Victims of Crime NT held in Darwin. It was a fantastic turn out with people from a range of backgrounds in attendance. The Police Commissioner, Jamie Chalker spoke from the heart and shared some shocking NT stats on DV victims which comprise of mainly indigenous females. Kate Worden and Fatima Tam showed courage and bravery by sharing their stories breaking the 'stereotype' perception of who c...an be a victim and hopefully encouraging others to do the same. IT COULD HAPPEN TO ANYONE OF US! Charlie King spoke passionately about Domestic Violence, how unacceptable it is and how we ALL need to get involved and DO MORE to help! We are doing our bit in a few weeks with this FREE VP Workshop for women who have experienced or are experiencing Domestic Violence & Assault. WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER!
