05.01.2022 So us small Sole Traders have completely missed out; There were 1.3 million sole trader, non employing businesses in Australia. *Non-employing businesses accounted for 62.3% of all small businesses, micro-businesses employing accounted for 27.9% and businesses with 5 to 19 employees accounted for 9.8%... What a terrible position to put us hard working, fearless, commited business owners in. It takes strength and a leap of faith like no other to be a sole trader. No sick leave, no annual leave and this is the position we end up in. We make up such a huge % of the work force and smile each day through the stress and long hours. Maybe we should all quit and go on the benefits full time and see what happens. So disappointed in our government right now, lets hope they fix this :( To all my sole trader clients out there....i'm thinking of you too.
