14.01.2022 Forgot how hard it is to press things over my head especially after rides on naughty ponies in the morning I often think back to when I coached CrossFit, and I was a SIGNIFICANTLY stronger person, but also riddled with way more injuries and niggles. Sometimes it pays to take things easy for a while... These were some of our exercises from a light push day:... 1. Military press 2. Cable chest press (good for shoulder stability) 3. 07.01.2022 Struggle city I haven’t picked up a barbell in many a month now, but yet another Melbourne lockdown has given me the nudge I need to get back in to it. 05.01.2022 Reminder to myself: you don’t always have to be 100% Over the last three months I’ve gone through a lot emotionally, and although I feel like mentally I’m good, my body is now showing the signs. And that’s okay. I’ve been feeling frustration at nerve pain, tight muscles, loss of strength and mobility - but it’s forcing me to take things slow. Our bodies truly are incredible, and sometimes they will show the wear and tear of our often quite stressful lives, and it’s important... to remember to allow ourselves rest. Slow down. Take it easy.
