07.01.2022 We now find ourselves in the second extension period for JobKeeper this extension period commenced 4 January 2021 and will finish on March 28, 2021. The great news is, you may be eligible to receive JobKeeper payments even if you have never been eligible or received them in either the initial program or the first extension period. Eligibility for the extended period is determined by meeting the original criteria for being an eligible employer. Further to the above your bus...iness will also need to satisfy the new turnover test for businesses accessing JobKeeper for the second extension period. This broadly means that your actual GST turnover will need to have declined by at least 30% in the October to December 2020 quarter, as compared to October to December 2019. Please note - applications and eligibility criteria needs to be met no later than the 31st January 2021, otherwise you may miss out on being able to claim the first fortnights in the extension period. If you require assistance from us in order to determine your eligibility or to apply, please contact your accountant by calling our office on 03 5821 8644. We must stress that in order to assist you, we must receive your information as soon as possible, with last applications being made on Friday, January 29th.

07.01.2022 It doesn't matter what kind of business you are in or what area you operate from, scammers are always around, especially as we quickly approach the holiday season. Recently we have been made away of businesses in Cobram who have been hard hit by many different types of scammers. Scammers get smarter every year and are forever changing the way they operate. As a business owner, it is vital for you to be on your toes and adopt some smart business practices to protect yourself... and your business from scams. We've put together some information to educate you on the types of scams out there and how to protect your business against this behaviour. We also highly recommend getting aquatinted with the website https://www.scamwatch.gov.au/ - which is updated constantly with known scams. If you are targeted by a scam they are not aware of, you can also report it to Scam Watch via their website.

06.01.2022 The holiday season is here once again! Please take note of the below office hours for all PTP offices over the Christmas and New Years. We hope that you all enjoy this season safely with your loved ones, and we cannot wait to see you all again in 2021.
