21.01.2022 Another mean looking FD rx7 in today to see if we could remove a large nasty scratch right along the passengers door As the scratch was so deep we did our best to remove as much of it safely , unfortunately it could not be completely fixed but a definite Improvement! We didn’t carry out any other paint correction on this one just a good wash , clay bar decontamination and a wax after the scratch reduction on the damaged door.

13.01.2022 Garage door : 1 LSA HSV : 0 Due to the nature of the damage on the roof of this vehicle we had to be careful to continually measure the paint thickness and not get carried away chasing scratches as you only have so much paint to work with! As this vehicle will eventually have a total paint correction and ceramic coating we need to reserve as much paint thickness as possible for future polishing ! ... Definitely a huge improvement here

13.01.2022 Rescue mission complete First car in the new studio, this RX8 came to us with some seriously sun damaged paint and heavy swirls This is one of those jobs where chasing and trying to remove every defect is simply not possible as the paint was extremely thin in many places, some areas as low as 50 microns =approx the thickness of a human hair After getting the paint correction as best the paint would allow we applied IGL quartz + ceramic coating to give it the best chan...ce of retaining its fresh new look Check out the before photos in the comments below !

(The thickness of a human hair ) We just wanted to share just how fine the line between polishing the paint and completely removing it is... A piece of paper is typically 100microns thick ... Obviously in this case a heavy cut polish is just not possible or we will be looking at metal in no time.
