25.01.2022 Charlie and Steve doing a mint job of the #plasterboarding and #flushing at our White Gum Valley project. We removed all the old plaster glass ceilings and cornices, installed furring channels to the old rafters (for a perfectly flat ceiling), then replaced them with crisp new gyprock! No more cornice here, just shadowline trims to bring this old home into the 21st century! @ White Gum Valley

23.01.2022 This is Marcus from @bricksfixwa9. He meticulously pointed up the reclaimed brick feature wall over the weekend at our #fremantledisplayhome. Every aspect of this project takes such a big effort from each trade and staff member. It is amazing to see it come together. Taking a boring old wall and turning it into something with character, that reflects the heritage of the building. All the grey bricks were recycled from a warehouse in Sydney and the reds from a old home in Victoria. 22.01.2022 This is our way of honouring the history of this Class 1 Heritage Building. Our #fremantledisplayhome is located in Little High Street (West End of Fremantle) called the Samson Bond Store. However, before it was purchased by Lionel and Son in 1971 and used as a bond and liquor store, Dalgety and Co Ltd, built the warehouse in 1902. They then sold it to Elder Smith in 1927, who mostly traded in agriculture and subsequently used it as a wool store. When the building was finally... sold to a consortium in 1996 and turned into apartments, Ralph Hoare (brilliant Fremantle architect), was given the the challenge of turning this old warehouse into livable apartments. He later took out a national award for the building, awarded by the Australian Institute of Architects. We are so proud and privileged to be part of this project. 22.01.2022 This is Pete - one of the best brick layers on our team! He has cut walls, installed steel lintels and created openings in walls where there were none. The space has opened up tremendously and the new windows and doors are due in 3 weeks. So good to see the light flooding the rooms. 18.01.2022 This project is a great example of taking tons of unused space and adding a walk in wardrobe and ensuite renovation to finish off the master quarters. It was one if those instances where we thought - "why didnt they do that in the first place"! However, the use of space has changed significantly over the years and older houses are great candidates for open plan living and more storage. Keep that in mind if you have a home built between 1960 and 1990. Thanks to our client, Sherrie for the great review. Always love working for you guys! @ Menora

18.01.2022 Getting ready for the recycled #recycledbrick cladding be installed at our #fremantledisplayhome. We will be combining grey and red bricks to create that authentic warehouse look. 14.01.2022 Yes, that is an orange splashback!! Our North Perth project was truly something different. We were given a design brief namely "Australiana" - so yes, oranges, #blackbutt, concrete grays and crisp whites made it into the colour palette. A #homeextension at the back of this period property, gave the owners a large living space, functional kitchen, a beautiful bedroom with ensuite and a pretty funky laundry. All up, a beautiful product, with a lot more amenity and needless to say - fantastic clients!! @ Perth, Western Australia

13.01.2022 Our Cottesloe project could have been set in the French countryside. We took this home over from a builder that could not complete the work. All aspects of the project was completely redesigned for the client, to deliver on their dream #villa. Everything was custom. The kitchen was flown in from France. All the doors were important from Spain. Our artist painter hand painted every vanity and laundry cabinet. All the walls (inside and out) were hand painted in #bauwerkcolour. Our stone mason hand cut each stone that was laid in the fireplace. 13.01.2022 Welcome to our new project kicking off today in White Gum Vslley. This project has all the ingredients for a great reno! We will be removing most of the internal walls (then rebuilding them), replacing all the windows throughout the property, before giving the internals a full makeover - kitchen, bathroom, ceilings, laundry and all the floors throughout! 12.01.2022 Welcome to our Rossmoyne project. A full #homerenovation that included new hardwood #timberflooring throughout, with a complete new kitchen, bathrooms and laundry. The clients really liked a clean, crisp white colour scheme, which came up really well against the flooring. Amazing to see what a #wallremoval here and there can do. 11.01.2022 Our Mount Pleasant project was a typical refresh. The owners had the dilemma that they were not using the spa bath anymore (very common - we pull out a lot of baths!), hence looking to enlarge the ensuite and renovate the kitchen, along with the remaining wet areas. The rooms came up beautifully with nice tile contrasts in the bathrooms and the kitchen (although the footprint unchanged) have at least 30% more usable storage. 10.01.2022 So good to see our custom #tablebase coming together! We love the industrial look of the I beams and T bar, which we salvaged from another project. We then cut and welded it on site to come up with this design. The 2 legs will be bolted down onto the floor and that way the entire table will be balanced from the centre. 09.01.2022 This Wembley project was a true favourite. This 80s bungalow went through a complete transformation. There is nothing like a good #wallremoval to open up a kitchen and join it with the living space. We renovated all the wet areas and not to mention the stunning new jarrah flooring throughout. The tired balcony also had a complete makeover! 06.01.2022 Exciting day today seeing this #glasswall being installed in the 2nd bedroom. This will be the dividing wall between the bedroom and the ensuite. Well done to the boys carrying up these heavy sheets. We have recessed all the tracks into the floors, ceilings and walls, thus once completed, the wall will look like its floating! 06.01.2022 This was our #warehouserenovation at the Samson Bond store in Fremantle. Essentially we amalgamated 2 apartments into 1, whilst carefully retaining and preserving all the heritage elements. Our team carted tons of bricks off site, as we took out many walls that were built in the 90s when the warehouse was converted into an apartment building. The feature red brick wall in the first image - we removed all the render and exposed the original brickwork. Restored all the floors ...and stripped off all the paint from the old craning beam. Fully painted the internals and rebuilt a balcony. Although we did not touch the kitchen and bathrooms, the property came up fantastic. A huge space over 4 floors! 04.01.2022 These balconies are starting to take great shape! Due to the engineering limitations of this 120 year old building, we cannot screed the floors. Hence, each joist needs to be individually cut to create a natural fall for the floor tiles. Dom (our brilliant laborer) is pulling apart the one balcony, whilst Michael is building the other. 03.01.2022 Our Inglewood project was a sweet little Christmas present! Our clients approached us at the end of October and asked if we could tackle this project before their relatives arrive for the Christmas break. We designed and delivered this project in 5 weeks. It was a quick one! The laundry was enlarged with an additional shower (great use of dead space!) and the bathroom was given a bath and a big facelift. Extra shower, extra bath, brand new rooms, on time, on budget - Merry Christmas! @ Inglewood

What a pleasure it is to work with dedicated trades that take pride in what they do. The care and attention that went into this floor has paid so much dividends. 01.01.2022 Amazing what a good plasterer can do! We stitched all the cracks in this wall, then floated it up with a sand based render, closely followed by an @duluxtrade acrylic texture. The texture coat is a brilliant product, not only adding an extra layer of waterproofing and flexibility, but also locking in the color.
