20.01.2022 Be a part of the conversation and change. There are a few spots still available for our Community Growth Workshop this weekend. Our brilliant facilitators will ...guide you along the way and ensure every participate feels safe and included. STEPH (Ballardong & Whadjuk Noongar woman from Boorloo (Perth) - her/she) I believe so much of our collective and individual suffering stems from isolation and the way that colonialism and capitalism have fractured our communities. I believe that change will happen when we reconnect, reimagine a new sense of community, and REMEMBER our true power. Bla(c)k people will not have the energy to stand up against the structures and systems that are killing our people, if we don’t have a strong community base where we are nurtured and cared for without judgement - we must stand together. I hope Niran Mbegu will be one step along a long journey of holistic community healing that will span generations, as well as simply providing a safe space for young bla(c)k folks to yarn and connect LINDA (Rwandan woman currently based in Boorloo - her/she) " Love is an action, never simply a feeling. - Bell Hooks. I believe if we truly love our community, we must serve it and work towards making it better. It crucial that we come together and collectively dream, plan and organise for our community." I am passionate about creating spaces that bring African youth together and support young bla(c)k and brown creatives through events, workshops and various projects. ----- #blacklivesmatter #createconversation #thefutureisblack #communityhealing #communitygrowth #workshopfacilitators #creatingsafespaces #boorloojustice #soulalphabet
