24.01.2022 Monday I had the pleasure of flying up to Cloudbreak Mine once again to caricature the people that live and work in that harsh environment. Long while since I drew outside in 36C heat - lots of fun and a happy crew. Thanks to everyone there for your hospitality look forward to visiting again. Love my country trips ......

22.01.2022 Thursday night was a ‘Thank You Event’ for all the helpers and volunteers at All Saints College in Bullcreek. A very busy evening which ran to overtime - met, and drew, some lovely people !

22.01.2022 It's that time of year - Christmas Caricature gridlock ! Have a heap going through and having a two weekend pause in 'Live' shows to clear the backlog. Some great faces in the bunch .......... Apologies to all those I've declined work from - that 'ol left hand can only do so much !

22.01.2022 With the demise of wedding/event/live caricaturing for the meantime - time to diversify. I've always been reluctant to do open the doors to pet caricatures (I really mean dogs ! ) but let's do it. The family favourite or the recently departed companion they will look great in a fun tribute on the wall. Do remember these will be caricatures not portraits.... 20.01.2022 A new framed A2 commission for a retiring mining company executive who loves his golf, footy, cycling and red wine. A few on the books now, things, perhaps, are slowly returning to normal !

19.01.2022 Saturday night was the celebration of Susie’s 60th at the Cottesloe Surf Life Saving Club. A busy session with a happy crowd. The iPhone XR should really take better photos than this - have to put it down to the operator !?

17.01.2022 Saturday night I had the pleasure of caricaturing at Krissy & Cindy’s wedding on the deck at Little Creatures Fremantle. A wedding that had everything, thunder, lightning, gale force winds, hail and two brides ! Cracking evening - thanks everyone.

Gladys Berejiklian the NSW Premier who has done a sterling job, along with all our leaders, with the ongoing COVID19 crisis. How well they perform when doing their job and not bickering amongst themselves ! .... commissions beckon - the work lull seems over !

15.01.2022 A cracker from six years ago .. A2 framed. Looking back I think some of the stuff I did on the old Wacom Intuos tablet is better than I do on the Cintiq. It's still in the cupboard - perhaps !

14.01.2022 State leader number 3 - Annastacia Palaszczuk of Queensland. She is doing a top job up there in sunny Queensland. Just had a look at the Tassie Premier - a new one on me - looks a natural for caricature. Putting off WA's McGowan until last - a very bland head !

12.01.2022 Just got back from a quick FIFO visit to the Pilbara. An overnight stay at Cloudbreak Village. I had the pleasure of caricaturing the workers of the FMG Iron Ore mine at their Eat Street Event. Lots of fun and laughs from an appreciative crowd. Here's a few shots from a busy slot.... 12.01.2022 State leader number 4 - Peter Gutwein of Tasmania. Hes a new one on me but has the type of head caricaturists love. As long as he doesnt hamper the continued production at Boags Brewery hes alright in my books !

11.01.2022 Five years ago our gorgeous daughter Jo married Blair - a wonderful day and here's the celebratory caricature. True to their word they got them grandkids rolling. Now is a great opportunity to order a quality caricature - wedding or otherwise - pencil is poised !

11.01.2022 This is a WIP (work in progress) of an 80th Birthday commission - fun to do. The more mature face is great to work on .. Have moved my final artwork to 310gsm 100% textured cotton rag paper - more expensive BUT 'Wow' !! Stunning ! Just despatched a couple that I can't post just yet.

10.01.2022 Last night saw me back to some Live caricaturing - its slowly, thankfully, getting going again. I had the pleasure of drawing students at a Christmas in July celebration at Edith Cowan Uni, Joondalup. Lots of happy faces !

09.01.2022 A new commission out of the studio for an ardent Footy fan having a significant birthday. The flow of commission work is getting back to 'normal' however live caricature gigs are slower to recover. Feel for my colleagues over in Victoria - hang in there.

08.01.2022 Saturday Night I had the pleasure of drawing Caricatures at Carlys 40th in a very palatial residence (6 bedrooms with squash court and bowling alley etc etc) overlooking Eagle Bay. Amazing place ..... BTW $3000 per night in the summer if you're interested !!
