24.01.2022 Chung Wah Association Founded by the early Chinese settlers in Western Australia in 1909, the Chung Wah Association is the largest and most established ...Chinese organisation in Western Australia. They are recognised by the Federal, State, and local governments as the spokesperson for the Chinese community in Western Australia. The core values for the Association were simple its leader to take care of its members in terms of their welfare, promotion of the Chinese culture and goodwill between the Chinese community and the local community. The end of the White Australian Policy in the 1970s resulted in a significant increase of Chinese migrants arriving predominantly from the South East Asia countries such as Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam as well as China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Burma, etc. With the continuing influx of Chinese migrants over the years, the Association’s membership has swelled from a few founding members in 1910 to about 3000 family members currently. Membership of the Association is open to all Australians regardless of their religious, political beliefs, social standing or educational background. In the coming Saturday 19th October, members can vote for 2019-2021 Executive Committee. This is a chance to have your say and take part in our Asian community. Date: Saturday, 19th October 2019 Time: 2:30pm Venue: Chung Wah Cultural Centre, 18 Radalj Place, Balcatta 1909 701910 10192019-2021 : 20191019 : 2:30 : Chung Wah Cultural Centre, 18 Radalj Place, Balcatta

13.01.2022 There is some misinformation going around. And it needs to be cleared up. WA is still coronavirus free.... But some people are fearful and are avoiding things they would otherwise normally do. Like even simply enjoying a meal at their local Chinese restaurant. Tonight I'm out for dinner with a few friends to support one of our local businesses. It definitely gets my tick of approval. Let’s get around our local Chinese community and show our support in what is an extremely difficult period. It’s the West Aussie way.
10.01.2022 Wishing you a Merry Xmas and Happy New Year!
