24.01.2022 A number of swimmers from our club drove down south to Busselton for the 2020 edition of the Sunsmart Busselton Jetty Swim that took place last 9th of February. . . There were some significant amount of leadership and camaraderie shown by our swimmers, which we should all be proud of. . ... . Sophie Gregory gave way and sacrificed her desire to swim solo and instead fill in for a spot on the relay event for a swimmer who didnt make it due to an illness. Together with Sophie, the relay team was composed of Milla Laschi, Stella Gregory and Thomas Gregory who completed the 3.6km race in 1:02.56. Oh by the way, they were called the Fantasic Four. Nice, right? . . The way they swam and raced the relay event was thrilling. Sophie started the charge with Milla taking over the 1km top end of the jetty swim, then handing over to Thomas who had never swam the jetty or any open water event before, who swam 600m before tagging his sister Stella who finished off the relays last 1km. . . Millas eight year old brother, Isaac Laschi, also tried the kids out to swim around the small jetty. . . The Czaplinska family was also there to showcase their talent where Flynn Czaplinska swam his first ever solo race, and Rob and Charlie swimming as a father-daughter duo team . . Congratulations guys! You definitely had a great and memorable time there See more

16.01.2022 Perth City is grateful to have a partnership with the amazing @formidablestrength_coaching. The guys are all about building strength, endurance and injury prevention to help our swimmers reach their goals. It was great to have @ryan_evernden join our blue and red squads during camp to conduct strength and conditioning screenings to complement our physiotherapy screenings. @formidablestrength_coaching has been working with our club for many years now and have been invaluable... for our swimmers & coaching team. Ryan was joined by super physio Steph Ness @snssportsphysio who visited our pool for the third year, screening our Red and Blue swimmers! These screenings give our swimmers regular and consistent benchmarks to measure themselves against to stay strong and prevent injuries. Thanks for coming and supporting our club @snssportsphysio and @formidablestrength_coaching - it was great working with you!
