06.01.2022 I hope you are all well and happy after the trials of the past few months. There is a small informal committee that deals with running the contra dance. We have been watching what has been happening and checking the various lifting of restrictions to group activities. We are unanimous in deciding that we cannot run contra dances as yet. Social distancing is the main problem, the great thing about dancing is waltzing and swinging etc with partners. As well, we often don’t have a lot of room on the stage for all the musicians and the caller to be correctly social We are all missing our monthly dance but we need to hold off until we are satisfied that we can run the dances again safely.
