11.01.2022 Don’t think so!!!!

11.01.2022 And that, I think, is what we all want. Not just freedom from beeping machines and needles and the cold lighting of an ICU, though that matters, too. Not just the absence of pain, which isn’t possible for everyone. But the solace of being seen and heard and acknowledged brings comfort even in the face of deep suffering.

10.01.2022 We used this product for a dear friend who died a couple of years ago. As her wish, we draped it with the flag of Scotland and a beautiful spray of yellow flowers. It looked stunning. Who would know what was underneath?

07.01.2022 Taku Wahine was asked by a mourner at her Grandfather Tangi if she could also do a Harakeke coffin/ casket for her mum...1 week later here is the end result...i...t cost the recipient of this awesome mahi $1500 which sounds a lot but Harakeke caskets are stronger & easier to carry the loved 1...and basic wooden coffins are not cheap & don't have the Aroha that a dearly beloved deserve...Taku Wahine greatest joy in creating this Harakeke casket was making a new friend as im sure her friend felt the Aroha(love) Taku Wahine put into it. Everything is a natural resource, even the rope which is made out of hemp so never slips & slide like an ordinary rope does...Kia ora im getting private messages about people wanting 1 but Taku Wahine doesn't do pre-orders as it's not about the money for her...it's about honoring a loved 1 and the best way for her to honor someone is a face to face Korero cause the Harakeke casket you viewed is what Taku Wahine visualized after the Korero of the owner as this Harakeke casket is for her beloved mum so created it using her weaving experience Mauri ora See more
