23.01.2022 Lithgow Arms LA105 Woomera. Chuck Norriss choice of rifle.
23.01.2022 Results from Sat 07 Nov. Beautiful weather, but the notorious Pinjar wind/ mirage did its usual trickery. S/H: Brett B 98.12; Alex T 96.9; Nathan M (Viz) 87.3; Jack H 36.0. ... Next club match is Sat 14 Nov @ 700m and the next day (Sun) is Subiaco prize meeting. Only a few matches left for this season. The last being Sat 12 Dec followed by the Pinjar Foodies wind-up dinner. After Saturday's match, Brett took his filthy dirty old Tikka to Busselton-Bunbury Rifle Club the next day for his 1st attempt at Service Rifle. That's another story.

04.01.2022 Gippsland shooter Albert van Wyk has the world championships in his sights, despite the pandemic preventing his team from training together. #9News | Weeknights from 5.30pm
03.01.2022 Correction. Were shooting 500m today.
02.01.2022 Leonora Rifle Club It was great to meet Russell Taylor from the Leonora Rifle Club at the WARA museum on the weekend. It so happens that we have a picture of Leonora Rifle Club members in 1932. They are: Les, Grant. Frank Taylor. Jim Thompson. Bill Gayzer. Jack Costick. Doug Robinson.... Jack Forward. Bill Detez. Bill Tate. Harry Pollit. Norman Blurton. Don Mills. I found references in the Leonora Miner (newspaper) to two of those in the photo. Bill Detez was a General storekeeper and buyer of gold at Murrin Murrin. Norman Blurton, in 1928 together with E.R. Gare of the Perth Rifle Club were the 2 WA shooters in the Australian rifle team which shot at Bisley. Blurton had tied with S. J. Jackson for the W.A. King's in 1922, - when the best interstate marksmen were present, but in the shoot-off the visitor won by a point through his greater knowledge of weather conditions, Blurton was then only a lad. He had not bad the same chance as most other riflemen, being situated on a station beyond Leonora for several years, he did not shoot in the 1928 or 1924 prize meetings, but was nevertheless chosen as a member of the Slate rifle team for 1924 1926 and 1927. He is also brilliant in individual shooting and fall of confidence. He is an engineer and has the ability to fit and adjust his own rifle, which is an important factor.
02.01.2022 From chatting to other shooters, and the good folk at Busselton-Bunbury Rifle Club, I’ve learnt that my rig can be adapted/ used for Service Rifle Matches in Open Class. So I’m now registered for this event.
01.01.2022 With the MDRA prize meeting at Pinjar on the Sat 29 & Sun 30 August its extremely likely therell will no visitor shooting on that weekend. I for one wont have time to put into looking after any visitor shooters. For those interested in full bore, F Class and Sporter Hunter Class long target shooting, come out on either day and have a look at what goes on. Hopefully youll get the bug and join a club so you go to the next level in your long range shooting journey. A couple of weeks following that is the Dukes and Queens Prize meetings over 4 days where youll get to see some of the best shooters in their class.
