24.01.2022 MARLIN CUP RESCHEDULED

21.01.2022 All FADs have been recovered. A lot was achieved today and given tomorrow's forecast and the long weekend coming up, the working bee has been postponed to June 7th at the earliest. All members will be advised.

21.01.2022 Club member Damien Wham sent through this picture of a recent Samson fish capture on Rhyss Whittred's boat Ashram. This has now been submitted as a pending National and IGFA World Length Record as it exceeds the previous mark which is currently held by PGFC club member Dylan Picken. It is always good to see these benchmarks being raised.

17.01.2022 Have your say on Recreational Fishing in Australia. For those looking for something to do while isolating at home, there is an online survey that you could jump onto and complete. GFAA advocates for the rights of all recreational anglers, whether they are club members or not, and this is an opportunity for everyone to have their say and be involved in ensuring the future of recreational fishing by participating. An opportunity that should not be missed. The National Recreat...ional Fishing Survey is the first such survey undertaken in almost 20 years, so it is vitally important that it is updated. You can learn more about the survey by following this link: https://youtu.be/k3dFnpMhQRk and the survey itself can be found by following this one: www.nationalrecsurvey.com.au The survey is open until mid-May, it offers us all a real chance to have our say and give our thoughts on the way recreational fishing is in this country, so please, don’t waste it. http://www.pgfc.com.au//Have-your-say-on-recreational-fish

16.01.2022 IMPORTANT NOTICE The 2020 Bluewater Tackle World Marlin Cup is coming around quickly and the club has to notify the Rottnest Island Authority by this Saturday, 25 January, about pen allocations. If you require a fuel jetty pen for the Marlin Cup please advise by either contacting the Tournament Directors noted on the entry form or emailing your requirements to [email protected] before Saturday. The club currently has a hold on the pens currently but once they are handed back there is no certainty you will be able to get one. So get your entries and bookings in ASAP to ensure you don't miss out.

01.01.2022 Have your say on the draft Commonwealth fisheries resource sharing framework Fishing is an important cultural, recreational and commercial activity for many Australians. Sharing fisheries resources can be a complex issue affecting commercial, recreational and Indigenous fishers. The draft Commonwealth fisheries resource sharing framework is now available for comment. To have your say on the draft framework and how we can share our Commonwealth fisheries resources fairly, go to haveyoursay.awe.gov.au/sharing-fisheries-resources.
