However, Jackie and Alex in the admin area where given a little ray of sunshine when some of the Sunflower children delivered to them "worry dolls" and a potpourri pouch. Thank you Sunflower for reminding us adults to stop and see the world through the eyes of a child - we just need to all slow down and stop for a little while, and then together, as a community of people, we will come through.

16.01.2022 PI Montessori is very proud to be involved in the ECAWA launch of the WA Play Statement. Community members were able to able to either zoom in or attend in person on Wednesday, 16 September 2020. A special thank you goes out to our Cycle 2 children for creating artworks for our show bags that represents the importance of play. Our children had a lot of fun filling the show bags with objects for the adults to remind themselves of the importance of play. The W.A. Play Stateme...nt is the first of its kind written for government, community, families, childcare and education in response to the demise of play in W.A. The W.A. Play Strategy committee have dedicated 3 years to this campaign. The committee members are Anna Targowska, Marcelle Saratsis, Sandra Hesterman and Jayne Kaiko. PI Montessori would love to take this opportunity to commend Jayne Kaiko for her dedication and advocacy for children’s play. #AISWA #PlayMatters #playcollective

From the beginning with Cycle 3 student choir, to the performances by individual students, to the audience members giving their support - well done to everyone. Please make sure you watch to the end to witness the absolute joy of the students as they engage with Todd in the performance of his piece - and they demanded an encore!

04.01.2022 Sarah Pollard spent 2 wonderful years with us. Her mum, Angela, spoke with us today and told us how she raves about how terrific our school is to everyone she meets. Sarah came to us from Outback WA where her school options were limited for years 11 and 12. Sarah had challenges, but in the true Perth Individual way, we tailored her program to work with her strengths and support her challenges which meant that she loved her time with us and we loved having her with us. She... is now out in the world doing amazing things - including being the lead artist for the 2nd year running at the UWA Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery. She also is singing and performing through Music Rocks Australia with a performance occurring at the Newport Hotel in Fremantle on Sunday the 9th of December. 03.01.2022 It is difficult to put into words how magical last nights performance was. Thank you to everyone who helped create last nights spectacular evening. Very special thanks to the producer Manmeen and heartfelt gratitude to the choreographer Sharika. Sharika went above and beyond working with the students helping them learn the dances and working with parents to create the beautiful stage sets and costumes on the night. Looking around the audience it was easy to see the tears of joy in so many peoples eyes, parents and staff included. It is going to be very difficult to live up to this in years to come!!
