18.01.2022 Veterinary Dental Forum 2019 Report I regularly attend one of the largest veterinary dentistry conferences in the world. This past September, it was in Florida, and boy did a lot happen. The Veterinary Dental Forum has a great research track, where cutting edge research from all over the world is presented, in addition to continuing education on dentistry for veterinarians at all levels of experience. I got to present two of my research projects this year on retained roots an...d dens invaginatus and am happy to say that both talks were very well received. I was officially recognised as a Diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College this year. One of only two currently practicing in Australia. This was the culmination of a nearly decade-long journey for me from the moment that I decided that dentistry and oral surgery was my area of interest, and is the final hurdle to be recognised as a veterinary dental specialist in Australia. I am also honoured to be the recipient of this years Outstanding Candidate Award, an achievement that I have much to thank my Mentors at Cornell University for, as they pushed me to reach my full potential. The Dentistry Service at Cornell received several awards this year, with Dr Nadine Fiani receiving the Award for Excellence Im Teaching and Research, and Dr Lindsey Schneider receiving the Best Poster Award. I consider myself very fortunate to have been part of this team for 3 years. In other news, our fellow countrywoman, Dr. Williana Basuki also received her Diploma this year. She is currently practising at Tufts University in Massachusetts, and I feel lucky to have been in the same graduating class as her. Till next year (in Dallas, Texas)!! 17.01.2022 To all our clients, referring vets and colleagues, It is with great sadness that I announce the impending closure of Perth Pet Dentistry. While the last 12 months have been very exciting, and I do wish I could continue to provide dentistry services to the people and veterinarians of Western Australia, I have decided to move overseas in order to pursue further training in veterinary dentistry and oral surgery. While I do intend to return to WA eventually, Perth Pet Dentistry... will cease to accept patients during this time. However, this opportunity will allow me to better serve my patients in the future. In order to ensure that any patients that require further rechecks receive the same high quality care, Dr Lian Yeap BVSc MANZCVS (Veterinary Dentistry) has kindly agreed to take over any cases requiring further follow up. My mentors and friends at Arizona Veterinary Dental Specialists, Cornell University and elsewhere for believing in me.... And most importantly, my wife and children for supporting my crazy adventure to become a dental guru through thick and thin. Floyd and I wish everyone all the best for the coming year!!!

09.01.2022 Couple of exciting developments coming up!!!! We will be expanding our consulting hours starting on March 9 and moving to a larger facility at Animalius Vet. Our new consulting hours will be Wednesday and Thursday from 9-5, with procedures on Monday and Tuesday. This is terrific as its going to allow us to see more patients. Effective immediately, we are no longer consulting out of Vet24, although we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to them for being so supportive... and working so closely with us over the years. Booking for consults will be available shortly, and we will make an announcement as soon as we are taking bookings. Due to the move, we will be changing the way we operate, and all our clinical work will be performed under Animalius, so once the announcement is made, contact Animalius directly to make an appointment. A referring vet portal will soon be up and running at https://www.animalius.vet, so keep an eye out for that. Perth Pet Dentistry will still remain, but will be managed by Dr. Kevin as a personal project aimed at education and training of veterinarians in veterinary dentistry, our website will soon be taken down for a relaunch. We are also excited to announce a new service that we will be bringing online shortly; dental teleradiology will soon be available via Animalius Keystone Community Portal, so keep an eye out for an announcement for as soon as that is available. Dr Kevin has officially been registered as a Specialist in Veterinary Dentistry in WA, currently one of only two practicing specialist veterinary dentists in Australia. We are very excited to be finally bringing advanced dentistry and oral surgery procedures to the veterinarians and pet owners of Perth. ... Our website is being updated as we speak so that should be up by the end of January. We also have some news regarding operating locations coming in the next few weeks, and equipment orders are being shipped as we speak. This Facebook page is also going to start getting regular updates as we ramp up. If you are interested in making an appointment. Please message us and we can place you on our waiting list.
