18.01.2022 HOW MUCH DOES EACH STAR ACTUALLY SAVE YOU IN REAL MONEY !!! Understanding these ever familiar stars plastered across your hot water systems can be very beneficial. Especially when trying to decide if by spending extra money, are you actually going to save any money in the years to come. So in simplest terms, looking at an average consumption of a house hold in comparison from a 3 star to a 5 star heater, is roughly about 16% in the difference and in real terms, its some wher...e close to 4 bottles of gas per year. We hope that you can get some clarity from this when choosing your next water heater and maybe just remember that the more efficient your heater the smaller your carbon footprint. And of course were always available for a no obligation free quote for any new installation or replacement hot water unit with high quality workmanship at competitive rates.
17.01.2022 WATER METER CHECKS !!! We all have one, either in the corner of our garden clearly visible. Or which is more often the case its under a bush and hidden where its almost impossible to read. Ive had some questions in regards to these devices of late, so i decided to post this in the hopes it will help. Question. "How do I know if i have a leak or just high usage. Answer. Turn off every tap in your house and ensure all toilets wont be flushed for the next few minutes while yo...u take to the garden. Record the number on your meter and leave for ten minutes. When you return if the number is the same then it means zero water has been used and everything should be ok and you dont have a leak. Now if it has moved then im afraid something is causing you to loose water. Some meters have a little leak indicator as shown in this picture and if this is spinning when no taps are on then it usually means there is an issue aswell. For high usage checks, please see the link below and this should help also. And of course if your concerned we are always happy to come and check for you too. https://www.watercorporation.com.au//water-monitoring-card https://www.watercorporation.com.au//irrigation-test-card.
16.01.2022 Ardross renovation. From beginning to end we knew this was going to turn out amazing.... And it did

15.01.2022 Ok come on January lets get this first week out of the way and roll 2020 for some amazing bathrooms. Booragoon Reno wrapped up nicely and looking great.
15.01.2022 How dirty is your toilet? Should you spend a lot of your time cleaning it? The unique shape of your toilet means that germs do not gather there for long which might surprise you. You should be far more concerned about your kitchen and places where food is prepared and kept.... Your dishwasher should be cleaned regularly, especially the plastic seal. Same goes for your washing machine. For more information, visit www.perthplumbingsolutions.com.au

13.01.2022 Flexible hoses are a common feature found under many sinks, basins and toilets all around Perth. And even though they dont look like much, these little braided pipes are holding back quiet alot of pressure so are certainly worth checking in on from time to time. Ok dont worry, Im not saying you need to feed or water them every few weeks, but it is wise to inspect them for rust spots or bulging. Damage can range from water stained walls, ruined furniture, soaked carpets ...and even structural damage. Remember, its a quick and easy fix and prevention is far cheaper than the cure. Feel free to send us a message or book in an inspection. See more
13.01.2022 Hot water systems will generally last about 10 years. It does depend on how well they have been maintained and the quality of the system itself. You might notice the water in your shower is frequently cold or your tap water comes out brown in colour and smells odd. These are just some of the signs that the system needs replacing. If you are unsure about your own system, feel free to get in touch with us anytime to discuss.... For more information, visit www.perthplumbingsolutions.com.au

When a blockage occurs, we can remove it quickly and easily with little cost.... Here you can see a blocked drain after we removed the blockage. The right tools and techniques will have your drains clean and flowing in no time. We will even show you how to keep it that way going forward. Send us a message if you have a blocked drain or visit www.perthplumbingsolutions.com.au
12.01.2022 Finding a leak on a water main has its challenges. As the pipe is underground, detecting its location requires skill, experience, and the use of modern technology. If you have a leak that requires attention, we can assist you. To get an obligation free quote, send us a message on Facebook o...r give us a call on 0449 220 563. 08.01.2022 Nice little bathroom reno. Old bath out along with the window. And in with a new window a very luxurious new shower space.
07.01.2022 Its a good idea in this season of high winds and heavy rainfall, to keep a close eye on your gutters, guys. If you can see leaves overflowing, or little trees growing from inside the gutters, its time to get out the ladders and scoop them out. Blocked gutters can cause alot of damage to your home, if all that storm water cant make its way to drain as quickly as possible. So best to keep the trees in the garden and leaves on the ground this winter.
07.01.2022 What to do if you smell gas !!! Gas leaks arent something you should ignore - even if you think you only have a small gas leak, you should deal with it immediately. Below are a few steps you can take to deal with leaking gas inside and outside your home: If you smell gas inside:... There are several steps you should take if you smell gas permeating around the house. First, evacuate everyone from the house and open all of your doors and windows. Next, leave the house and turn off gas at the meter (or LP Gas cylinder if thats what youre using). If you can and its safe to do, switch the power off at the electricity meter box too, so electrical appliances cant generate a spark. Then move to a safe distance and call your plumber or local gas authority (see below). How to tell if your gas appliances have a problem There are a few hints that may indicate that your gas appliances may not be operating as theyre supposed to. Things to look for include: Gas burning with a yellow rather than a blue flame (apart from some flame effect heaters) Soot deposited in or around the appliance Flames not burning irregularly or in the wrong directions Unpleasant smells If you notice any of these problems, stop using the appliance and contact a gasfitter immediately. Even if it doesnt appear that theres a problem, you may be at risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. To be clear: if the problems with a gas appliance, you should call a licensed gasfitter. If the problems with your gas meter or the piping leading up to it, thats normally a matter for the company that supplies your gas. Either way, if you have any worries or queries regarding gas just give us a call or message us and we will be happy to point you in the right direction.

07.01.2022 Ok . So I thought we plumbers could keep this a secret from the masses, but then they broke the story in the U.S and I feel its time for us plumbers here in Australia to do the same. I may only have a short time to live as Ive just put a target on my back for taking away this gold mine of an opportunity away from all other plumbers. On a serious note, if you do happen to see your toilet starting to overflow then call us and I promise I wont mention this post. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10157969577358206&id=76956398205
06.01.2022 Just a tip before you start any DIY project guys. Bad enough your Saturday may be taken up with the task of hanging shelves or picture hooks etc. Its going to get a whole lot worse if you dont check to see if there is any hidden pipes in the wall. Normally pipes tend to drop down to fixtures but they can also come up and to the side so if you can, spend the time to try track where they come from before you drill. And if all goes wrong, at least know how to turn off the water and give us a call.
06.01.2022 Plumbing has been around for thousands of years. Ancient civilisations used plumbing to transport water to public bath houses and in the removal of waste water. The word plumbing comes from the Latin word plumbum which translates to lead which is what their pipes were made from. In modern society, plumbing is a vital part of society. Without it, we would be unable to shower, pour water from our taps or even flush our toilets. This ancient skill is still as relevant toda...y as it was when it was 1st invented. 05.01.2022 Old vanity out, and a new one installed.
05.01.2022 Prevention is always better than cure for blocked drains. Have noticed an odd smell coming from your drain or is it just not be clearing as quick as it used to? Pouring boiling hot water down your drains regularly can help to keep blockages from gathering. Mix it with salt or white vinegar to increase the effectiveness. This will only work for smaller blockages however. If you have a larger blockage you are struggling to shift, get in touch and we will assist you.
04.01.2022 Have you heard of "the silent killer"? Carbon monoxide is an odourless, colourless, tasteless gas which can cause death or serious injury. Common symptoms include nausea, chest pain, confusion, dizziness, and shortness of breath. If you have not had your gas heater serviced in a while and are experiencing these symptoms, please turn off your heater and go outside immediately. After that, contact a professional to ensure your home is not being poisoned. ... Just last month, four people in Victoria were hospitalised from a suspected faulty gas heater. You can read more about it here: http://www.abc.net.au//four-in-hospital-with-suspe/9835166
04.01.2022 Ardross en suite Reno
03.01.2022 Just a gentle reminder that if anyone is planning a trip away, its a good idea to take the time to check your various flexible pipes under sinks and beside your toilets before you leave. These rather innocent pieces of plumbing equipment have the potential to undo all of the stress you hoped to erase while also destroying your home. Flexible hoses need to be replaced every five years but more often than not we get the calls for the ones that werent. Dont let a massive clean up or insurance bill be the reason to call. Simple job and peace of mind guaranteed.
02.01.2022 Call out for no hot water!! Luckily for the homeowner it was only a faulty element. Its good practice for home owners to have the solar tanks checked when ever possible as leaving them unchecked can potentially cause bigger issues with exposed electrics or damaged seals.
02.01.2022 Ardross reno started today and after alot of digging the prelay is complete, and were ready for the next stage.
