The next popular Introduction to paper clay will be next on Sunday 1 September. Links to both at https://www.grahamhay.com.au/workshops.html

12.01.2022 Heads up current students. I have just 27 images uploaded of unique students work completed fresh from the kiln door in the last month. (apologies everyone else, this is into the private Perth Pottery and Sculpture Class Gallery group for current students only-so students away any week dont miss out seeing their peers final work once it has been fired and gone home).

10.01.2022 While there will be no classes 26 Feb - 21 March 2019 as I have been invited to participate in a ceramic symposium in India next month. Also been invited to give a Raku & Paper clay Workshop with Kim Young-Soo in Kolkata/ Calcutta while there. Classes will run up to this time and then continue afterwards. This link gives you more: https://www.grahamhay.com.au/internationalworkshops.html

10.01.2022 While waiting for the video classes to start: Some light, non work reading that will keep you away from Netflix binging Free library of pottery textbooks: National Emergency Library - Internet Archive is a non-profit library of millions of free books, movies, software, music, websites, and more. Access Free Pottery Books here https://archive.org/details/nationalemergencylibrary. Thanks to CAAWA and NZP for sending the link on the same day

09.01.2022 My apologies: Yes, class are running in 2019. Please dont write questions here or messaging me. Why not? My information packed class webpage (see link) which has been polished over the last decade to answer ALL your questions; where, times, dates, how the classes are uniquely organised, current vacancies, immediately enrol online, automatic wait list, and so on. ... Its quicker to just read the webpage, not write questions here and wait until I eventually find your question and reply. Why i am I so slow? Ive been carefully teaching these 4 studio classes a week for 19 years; and the rest of my week is jam packed creating my own art, commissions, meetings, exhibiting, public speaking, writing ceramic education journal articles and responding to overseas requests to teach and exhibit, coordinating the studio and this year postgraduate studies. In any class I am much more responsive and helpful and you have complete access to my expertise and assistance. Just remember: ceramics is both a relaxing and demanding art form, and your persistence will always be rewarded. I wish you well on your creative journey. Hope this saves you time. Cheers, Graham PS. https://www.grahamhay.com.au/classes.html

09.01.2022 Even Art Critics are doing it I took classes so I could have a mental break, and make something thats both useful and beautiful, she says. Its a way of slowing down, a meditative process, and about using your hands and your eyes both consciously and intuitively. You can see it as a counterpoint to the fact that were sitting in front of computers every day and craving more contact, literally, with the earth.
