24.01.2022 I admit defeat! But just for now. Detergent bars "THE BLOCK" are off the menu when current stock runs out. Sorry peeps and such a shame as this product has just gained momentum after 3 years of hard work, and only word of mouth and a very bad amateur video to spread the word. And I finally have the "soap" cages and baskets in stock to go with the bars! ahh... I have had to source new suppliers for my ingredients following the devastating fire at @aussiesoapsupplies and they are not the same! David and Jude at Aussie Soap Supplies source the highest quality ingredients and mostly from Europe, and the quality is evident! I cant find a substitute and this picture shows the outcome of another failed batch. so after weeks of sleepless nights and reformulating I give up (the new ingredients must be reacting with the bicarb to cause this volcano - looks like a high school experiment - but a very expensive one!) this is 3am after stirring constantly since 4pm to stop the ooze from overtaking my workroom - and those slow cookers are giants, so thats a LOT of kilos to stir.. My arms want to crawl into bed and not get out :) and the worse thing is the bars dont harden .... I have racks of them too soft to pack. Rant over ... all better now LOL I will keep you posted on the development and luckily the shampoo bars dont have bicarb in them so they are fine. I feel like giving in and lying on the beach in this gorgeous weather we are having- enjoy your day and our beautiful weather here in WA - we are blessed @thestorehousefremantle @wasteless_pantry @cafecollectivewa @zerostore.au
23.01.2022 Another custom order, this one was for Curtin University's ARC Centre for Mine Site Restoration. They were after something that represented West Australia, so for this order I used organic Australian lemon eucalyptus and lemon myrtle essential oils. I used natural colourings to depict our beautiful terrain. 18.01.2022 How often do we miss the simply beauties in life? As I stopped for a moment, realizing I had overfilled the spa, I noticed that my minuet mistake resulted in a beautiful moment. The Buddha looked as if they were floating on the water, which complemented my garden plants in the background beautifully. You have access to all the colours, essential oils, fragrances, flowers, botanicals etc, Pre-measured ingredients so you can just get into some oh so satisfying soap making ! (some new fragrances and some favorites are back too!) I will be available to assist but there will be no teaching, notes or recipe (ingredients measured out for you). Just pure soapmaking! You can also watch me do a test for a new fragrances and botanicals, line a wooden soap mould or you can soap and run !
