17.01.2022 llawong is an Aboriginal word meaning between two waters, referring to the Georges and Woronora Rivers. We were engaged to revote an existing home looking out over the magnificent Georges River NSW. The Stylesmiths were hired to put forward a new kitchen design and complete redesign of living, dining, bedrooms and study areas. Our wonderful clients are minimalists at heart and wished for a home that related to the local terrain and responded to their need to live simply. We responded by designing custom joinery throughout the kitchen, living room, dining and bedrooms with a simple mixed pallet of timber and paint. The end result its effortlessly refined and casual.

16.01.2022 https://www.domain.com.au//an-experts-guide-to-2018-and-2/ There is no denying it, colour is back, says Richard Misso, creative director at The Stylesmiths, and the living room is the perfect place to inject colour via paint or accessories like cushions and rugs. The trick to working with colour is to play with fabric and paint swatches to create a palette that works harmoniously, hopefully eliminating costly mistakes.

12.01.2022 Custom designed entertainment units are the new heart of the house. This space was created by lead designer Nicole for her clients whom wished to personalise their Canterbury home. Large format thin concrete tiles clad the walls and base with just the right amount of timber to warm the space. 08.01.2022 The years 1920 to 1931 in Paris were known as Les Annes Folles or The Crazy Years. A cultural melting pot where artists from around the world immersed themselves in the thriving artistic and literary community. Capturing the essence and energy of this period in history, Wildgrain Mornington eatery is designed to feel timeless, as though it has always been there. With the enduring aesthetic of the Art Deco era and featuring objects that have or tell a story, the space aims to... feel comfortable and lived in. Placing the design in a thoroughly local context, the concept is overlaid with a palette that celebrates the Mornington Peninsula. Shades of eucalypt green, representing the layering of green in a native bush landscape. The sandy beaches of the Peninsula coastline are beautifully represented through lime wash. Crisp whites lighten and brighten the space to created a coastal experience. The challenge in designing an all-day eatery is creating a hospitality space that feels great from breakfast to dinner. For this reason the colours within the space were chosen to create distinct zones that would appeal at different times across the day. Zones near the front and rear glazing feature white wall panelling in lime wash, these bright and open areas take advantage of the morning light. While the internal banquette zone is painted in two shades of green to create a more intimate evening experience. Lush green planting is used to tie the zones together and create views of greenery from every seat, and strategically placed mirrors bounce reflections around the elongated space, connecting the open kitchen with the dining area. If you live locally we just suggest you drop by post COVID or order some delicious takeaway whilst still in lock-down.

Kiev-based architecture studio 2B.group, were commissioned to refurbish this maisonette in a listed building in Kiev.

03.01.2022 This Stylsmiths Project was an exercise in injecting unity into a rear extension. One of the key elements was a custom designed entertainment unit. Custom entertainment units and shelving are one of our most requested items. 03.01.2022 Last week we celebrated House Of Heras stunning rug collection with @designerrugs Designed by the super talented Silvana Azzi Heras, who specialise in highly decorative designs applied to a variety of textiles including wallpapers and fabric. These intricate and beautiful designs sprung from the desire to create interiors that are high end and opulent, yet give the simple comforting pleasure of being at home surrounded by wonderful things. As a side note the looked incredible in the flesh!

02.01.2022 Hello friends of the Stylesmiths these are my friends Joel and Bella. They are a super cute couple that I adore. Joel whom is just 23 has been given a terminal diagnosis , he has a massive tumour in his right lung and an irregular mass that is putting stress on his heart, lungs and bronchi, therefore making operating impossible and extremely risky. 01.01.2022 This Stylesmiths project included a full redesign living zone and dining zone. Attention was paid to lighting selections, furniture, custom soft furnishings, wall finishes. With soaring ceiling heights in the open plan living spaces, we aimed to create more intimacy and warmth. In the living area a deeply hued wall paint behind a symmetrical arrangement of new furniture and dcor offered the ability to display an enormous collection of trinkets without disrupting the sense of calm.
