07.01.2022 #deposits Clients and friends, After being closed down from March until June along with hundreds of other businesses, we are grateful and humbled to have been blessed with a busy Christmas period in which to recover. While the pandemic impact means we have less than optimum staff to cope with demand, the team we do have have have gone above and beyond, working long and hard hours to accomodate as many as possible. To support their efforts and our business, during December ...we have required a $50 deposit for appointments lasting an hour or more payable a minimum of 24 hours prior. We have notified customers of this by email then subsequent sms and phone calls over a number of days. 98% of people have been understanding and accommodating of our request. Only when we have confirmed the notices have been viewed but neither deposit payment a response received on the rare occasion have appointments finally been released 24 hours prior, followed by further notification of this. It has been the vast MINORITY whom disregarded the policy and all attempts to contact them before attending on appointment day and subjecting the staff to abuse and aggression when they couldn’t be accommodated. The decision to implement this policy was not theirs and its saddening to see them experience this in the middle of a fully booked day as they have this afternoon. While threats to cause damage using online reviews and word of mouth are upsetting to hear, hopefully they deter those willing to act in a similar fashion. Our customers are of the highest priority and we are acutely aware that we owe our business to them. But protecting the health & safety of our team is of equal importance to me and attempts to bully and intimidate them simply will not be tolerated. Thank you so much to those who have supported us to get back on our feet which is almost everyone. While we outline below the measures we are taking to safeguard and reassure, the response and support we have experienced from clients to date has given us confidence and assured our team that our salons will continue to offer a refuge for rest and... relaxation in these challenging times. The nature of our specialised beauty treatments means that we have always prioritised sanitisation and hygiene protocols. These have allowed us to maintain a healthy team and during the regular flu season over the past few years has seen us benefit from notably lower rates of illness and infection amongst our staff in comparison to the general population. In addition to the standard sterilisation, anti-bacterial cleaning and hygiene/hand washing protocols some of the additional measures we have chosen to implement during this period include: The invitation for all clients to make use of our surgical grade hand wash to wash their hands on arrival to the salon. The Use of N95 Surgical Masks by relevant team members offering treatments in close proximity to their client, chosen by them as an additional safeguard The Supply of Standard Face Masks for use by our clients at their own preference The Use of Disposable Bed Covers for all Lash Treatments, utilised for a single use only and exchanged between each client. As the situation specific to the outbreak of H1N1 Virus in Perth continues to evolve we are in communication with WA Health Department and will continue to follow all of their advice.
