15.01.2022 === SPOTLIGHT MONDAY 4 === Janina got into triathlon in 2015 when she joined a novice course. Both the course and the first race were awesome, so she continued training with the local triathlon club, made great friendships, learned to swim freestyle from scratch and participated in a number of triathlons. Consequently, after arriving in Perth with Stephan two years ago, finding a triathlon club was a top priority. Luckily they chose PTC. Janina became the club’s treasurer in December 2019 and enjoys serving on the committee. During the winter months 2020, Janina offered weekly yoga classes for club members via zoom. Meanwhile, she became a certified yoga teacher and is looking forward to teaching more yoga classes for PTC. #triathlon #spotlightmonday #perthtriclub #swimcyclerun #perthlife #perth

06.01.2022 === SPOTLIGHT MONDAY 3 === Nicole’s foray into triathlon started in 2010 after a friend convinced her it would be fun. Signing up for a novice course in 2011 to learn the ropes, she managed to complete her first sprint triathlon, make some amazing friends and develop an addiction to triathlon (and to post-training breakfast!). When she discovered she could eat even more competing in long distance events, Nicole turned her attention to half Ironman events, and this is still ...her favourite distance to race. After having a baby in November 2018, Nicole turned her focus to coaching as a way to remain involved in the sport and to give back to her club and community. She was also keen to introduce a new wave of athletes to this wonderful sport especially the post-training breakfast! #triathlon #ironman #swimcyclerun #spotlightmonday #spotlight #coaching #perth #perthlife
