She runs a part-time private vegan psychology practice in Sydney as well as working with vegans all over the world via Skype/Facetime. 21.01.2022 Hey folks, Many kind people have offered that we keep their ticket money to offset money lost from cancelling the Perth Vegan Expo. However we need to refund all ticket holders in order to cancel the event via Eventbrite (Difficulties with Eventbrite have still not been resolved, I am awaiting guidance from the US department.) ... Sadly we have incurred quite substantial losses, with non-refundable deposits, non-refundable presenter flights and sunken costs from advertising and printing. Usually these would be covered by stall fees, ticket fees, donations and sale of merchandise on the day but with no idea of if, or when we could reschedule we have been left with quite a deficit. Eventbrite seems to have had a full meltdown likely due to the number of events being refunded and so I have only managed to refund 1/3 of ticket holders thus far (which is a manual process) I can't cancel the event until all tickets are refunded. 07.01.2022 This year The Perth Vegan Expo will be held at Elizabeth Quay; once again it will fall on the last weekend of March, the 28th & 29th. 2 days holding a fully vegan space in the Perth CBD! Once more we will have free entry markets featuring all your favourite local vegan businesses, a showcase of all the wonderful choices veganism provides and how talented our local vegan creators are. ... This year we will have a speakers tent, featuring talks and workshops from inspirational local, national and international vegans; including @that_vegan_couple and vegan psychologist @clare_mann! More speaker announcements soon. Plus our food and wellbeing tent which will host cooking demos, and wellbeing activities such as yoga and meditation. We will see the return of Malaysia's @rawchefyin and Melbourne's @zaccharybird as well as our local favourite @newethic_plantfood. Weekend passes for talks and workshops will be available at the start of February. 07.01.2022 Hey Folks, I have received a number of emails regarding ticket refunds so I thought It best to issue another update. I am still unable to manually refund, however after much backwards and forwards and frustration, 2 days ago I wire transferred the required money to the US Eventbrite team so that they can complete the task from their end.... I have been advised this will take 3-4 working days. I am incredibly sorry for this inconvenience which is entirely out of my hands. Please do bear in mind I am experiencing the same stressful situation as many of you, with the added impact of huge financial loss from the event's cancellation.
