19.01.2022 Exciting news for the youth of our community In response to community feedback, Bathurst Regional Council have agreed to trial the permanent opening of the multipurpose court without the tennis net and we are now happy to announce that the multipurpose court is now open to community use. The court will still be available for hire under the previous arrangement for those wishing to utilise the court and we ask our community members to please be respectful if someone does atten...d the courts stating they have a hire and to also take any rubbish home with you. If you wish to hire the multipurpose court with the tennis net, we ask you to please arrange the hire by emailing [email protected] as we will have to make sure someone is available to attend the courts to set up and remove the net. As the Courts are now operational, we really need to add the new position of Sports Courts Co-ordinator to our committee. As many of you are aware, the committee is full of people who volunteer their time to the Group to work for the benefit of our community and to manage the community hall. We all lead busy lives and our time and energy only stretches so far. Many community members were willing to step up and show their support of having the courts open and accessible for the youth of our community and we ask you now to put your support behind the Neighbourhood Group and take on a position or work with us by providing to help us keep going. We need someone who is willing to oversee the courts and be responsible for the courts email and respond timely to any enquiries and may include the setting up and taking down of the net on the multipurpose court should it be required for a hire. The person will also be responsible for collecting and banking monies to the groups bank accounts. 05.01.2022 The Courts are open for hire As of tomorrow, Saturday 30th May, the Courts will be available for hire. We ask that you return the key as soon as possible after your hire. A non-return fee of $50 will be charged for lost keys. 01.01.2022 Welcome to our Perthville Village Square Sports Courts Facebook page. This page and the Courts will be managed by members of the Perthville Neighbourhood Group (PDGI) as the Group has been entrusted with the management of the Courts by Bathurst Regional Council. The Courts are part of the larger proposed Perthville Village Square and were completed as Stage 1 of a jointly funded project by Bathurst Regional Council and the State Government’s Round two of the Stronger Countr...y Communities Fund. There are two courts available for hire: Court 1 - Full single Tennis Court and Court 2 - a Multipurpose Court (Tennis, Netball, Basketball, Handball). The committee is at present finalising a management plan and a simple booking system for the Courts and we hope to have them open for use asap.
