25.01.2022 Our recently held Information Night was a great success. We enjoyed great food, awesome company and heard from two students about why they love YCS. We heard from Tyana, who has been involved in YCS for four years, and is a leader at the Ursula Frayne group, and the national chairperson. She discussed the actions her local group have done, such as a positive affirmation lucky dip and cooking food and making care packages for the homeless. She also discussed how she has been involved nationally with YCS, and the opportunities that she has got, including meeting Bishop Don Sproxton. We also heard from Myst, who is a student new to YCS. She spoke about the recent Leadership in Action training in Melbourne, and what she learnt. She also discussed starting a new YCS group at Kolbe, which is very exciting!!

16.01.2022 From the 12th to 16th of December, Australian YCS held a ‘Leadership in Action Training’ in Melbourne. Five Perth students, including myself, were fortunate enough to attend this incredible event. Over the week, we formed new friendships and learnt valuable leadership skills. There were many sessions, run by students, workers and guest speakers which focused on a variety of areas including leadership qualities, story telling, building relationships and using power. We also sh...ared and listened to the valuable stories of other students and inspired one another to put our faith into action. On the final two days of the training, we focused on planning an action to take back to our schools and local communities. Perth students focused on mental health awareness as well as developing a more positive school environment. We cannot wait to carry out our actions, so stay tuned to find out more! 13.01.2022 Great to hear all about ACYF

12.01.2022 It's almost the start of a new school year! This is the perfect time to start a YCS group at your school. Our groups review lots of different topics such as mental health and homelessness, and then take action in their local community. Each group is unique, and can be tailored to suit your school. The best thing is that students love YCS. Sisilina from Adelaide said "YCS to me is an opportunity for students to have their voice heard. It's a great place where you can express your opinion." Send us a message if you think a YCS group is a must have at your school, and join a national movement so that we can change the world for the better!

12.01.2022 Don't miss out on this awesome event. RSVP by this Friday for a fun night

02.01.2022 Our students at the National Leadership in Action training just talked with Will Mezner, from World Vision Australia about the journey of how he and his team cr...eated the #kidsoffnauru campaign with others across civil society. We also reflected on stories of the bible and how they relate so clearly to young people taking action in difficult circumstances #DavidandGolieth #Moses #StoryofEster It’s exciting that the world doesn’t just have problems, it also has problem solvers
