14.01.2022 Man....this photo is OLD - but I genuinely still get this excited about the stuff that is happening for P&P. Now - I probably shouldn't tell you this....but I am rather bias when it comes to the humans who are enquiring about P&P at the moment. LIKE - I am over here cheering THIS hard when I see who is exploring their options right now. Of course I am going to be happy for whoever takes it on - but in the last week we've had a number of small families AND young people enqui...ring and that excites me to no end. I love that they are thinking about giving the world of business a red hot crack and it feels SO right whenever I imagine this space ending up in the hands of a young go getter. I was 25 when I created P&P and it has been one of the greatest adventures of my life. Plenty of people thought I was nuts, I definitely threw myself in the deep end AND in our "rapid growth phase" we decided to add a little human of our own to the mix. So because of that - that's why I am cheering the hardest for someone like that to make P&P their own. I am so excited for the next human to build their life, their family and their future with this wonderland. 11.01.2022 I wasn’t sure if I should post this, but I promised to share my journey. The good, bad and the ugly. So here goes. Today started off good and ended ugly and it all started when my team mate, thrust a phone in my face with her shaking hand and started reading. As she read through the second and third lines I dropped the dishes I was washing back into the sink, in shock.... Not shock that we had an unhappy customer (although we try not to have them) but shocked because I could see how this was devastating to my team mate as she learned it was aimed at her. I get it. It really sucks when expectations aren’t met. It sucks when we have a poor experience. It sucks when things don’t go the way we wanted them to. As the boss, I take full responsibility for your experience with us and I want to know what you think. We truly do care. But reflecting on this, there is a silver lining. Instead of finger pointing and blaming, we owned this as a team and brainstormed how we can get better. We are working hard to improve every day and I can see the progress . We do care. 06.01.2022 At the start of this year we were pumping out an INSANE number of Platters each week as the Catering Part of our business continued to grow ridiculously fast. We had focussed on building strong foundations & a very loyal clientele for the first few years of trade.
