24.01.2022 Hi Pets Great news. As and from 1st July we can now get back to normal and gather for Petanque without any restrictions on numbers. ... We will still maintain social distancing, hand sanitising, and I will continue to maintain the Covid-19 Register. Looking forward to seeing you. As you will have heard from our sommelier extraordinaire, there is a special bottle of red for the winner of Wednesday's competition. Can't wait. bisous Carol

A big thank you to Virginia and Hakan for donating two bottles of their delicious wines for January. Next Petanque is on Saturday as usual, but we are also meeting up on Sunday 12 January for our second Twilight Petanque at 4.30 p.m. Please bring a plate, a smile, a bottle and a chair if you have one. bisous... 14.01.2022 Look what an awesome job James, Gerrard and John T did with encouragement and supplies flowing from Carol we now have 11 lovey pistes to look forward to -

13.01.2022 Just to keep you abreast of the latest. We usually have around 18-20 players a Petanque session but on Saturday we had 27. I have copied this from the Government guidelines:... "For community sporting activities that involve more than 20 participants, the organiser must have a COVID-19 Safety Plan." Your organiser has had a Safety Plan in place now for a few weeks. We have our Covid register which every player has to sign, and we have Hand Sanitisers on hand at all times. PLEASE make an effort to stand 1.5 metres away from the next player. We will endeavour to have an empty piste between each group of players. If we stick to these not too onerous rules we will be allowed to continue playing and enjoying ourselves.

13.01.2022 Just when some of us have been away - Avalon Beach Petanque has gone all official - love the new hoops and piste numbers - thanks again to our organisers - always on the ball (or should I say Boules)

12.01.2022 Some January dates for you: Wednesday 1st January - we will be playing Petanque but it will not be a competition day Saturday 4 January - Competition Day and also John T's and Marianne's birthdays so we will be having a birthday lunch after the game. Do hope you can come.... Wednesday 8 January is Competition Day Sunday 12 January Twilight Petanque commencing 4.30 p.m. Please bring a plate, something to drink and a chair if you have one.

04.01.2022 The Club has now allowed play to resume - so lucky us we are playing on the refurbished pistes - new members please ring Carol as we are still restricted on numbers each day. Congratulations to James on winning the wine on Wednesday -its been a dry couple of months.

03.01.2022 Hi Pets Congratulations to our champions this month - Cheryl and James. Do hope you enjoy the wine. We will be celebrating Cheryl and Mike's birthday on Wednesday 15 July with lunch after the game. If the weather is good we will head down to Clareville Beach. If not we will stay at the Club.... On the 15th we will also be celebrating Bastille Day (14 July) so please be sure to wear some blue, white and red and brush up on your La Marseillaise. bisous Carol
