18.01.2022 WE BOUGHT A BEACH HOUSE !! = - We can't wait to transform this boxy bag-lady into the beachside bombshell she deserves to be! Lots of exciting plans coming for ya'll to see and be a part of. We have no idea if this will be a fast or slow reno, we're just taking it one step at a time. Confession One: we got our hands on this little lady quite a while back, but we felt it was a hard thing to celebrate amongst the doom and gloom of Covid and the restrictions kept us locked ou...t for months !! Confession Two, we've only been there once . Pre covid P & C planned to have this done by the end of July, you know, the one that's been, but 2020 had other plans - The thought of a holiday house was really a long term pipe dream, but we had some great cards land in our lap paired with impeccable timing, so we took the plunge! 09.01.2022 We couldn't wait to introduce you to our newest family member Judy-Judy ! ! This robust, cute as a button, curly tummied, feed me when I'm hungry, robust addition to our place has settled so fast and very well!! Judy was adopted from the @rspca_vic where we followed their new covid prevention adoption process. We applied online, got a call, booked a visit and was able to meet a great the fluffy felines!! We saw Judy and knew straight away she was going to be the perfect pu...ss for us. She read as great with other pets and the right temperament for a young family; adoption cats like this are far and few between !! #lucky We had our beloved Romy pass away while we were filming @houserules (and yes it was as traumatic as you can imagine not being home) ... since then we've had a cuddly hole to fill. We are rapt that we have been able to give Judy-Judy a new home. 08.01.2022 A year ago today, about this time, our family and friends were pouring in our front door excited to watch the Grand Final of our House Rules series. We were filled with nerves, like we hadnt been keeping a huge secret from them all for a month! Sitting back watching the experience we had unfold on our screen surrounded by our people was both surreal and special. Our time on reality TV was every single descriptive emotion you can think of, ALL of them! It made us stronger as people and as a couple and has allowed us to shape our future as a family in a way we had once upon a time, dreamed of. A year on and we have SO many projects and goals on our horizon and our journey on House Rules ignited the passion and dreams we cant wait to make our reality. It started with great optimism, but the beach was a no go for the boy... he wanted absolute nothing to do with the white sand a glistening water...#basic Then we had to deal with a broken window at the beach house, so a trip to Bunnings for supplies and tools we do not need, because we have a gazillion at 'home' Then endured a traffic filled drive home... 02.01.2022 It was finally time to pick up the paint roller again! What better time to add our own Pete and Courts touch to a few 'zones' in our house. We took the half half wall in the entry and stairwell and used a charcoal colour to give the illusion of height, while adding cascading devils ivy (all real) down the brick face, because, well, we LOVE PLANT WALLS! - Green thumb Petey got creative and made (thats right, MADE) an irrigation system to water these lovelies and keep the gree...nery lush all year round, without having to get the ladder out!
