20.01.2022 Happy for council to save money by reducing costs, but propping up the fantasy of "climate change" is just not good economic sense, especially when it's other peoples' money. What do you think? https://youtu.be/_fQZfFy9cFs

20.01.2022 On my way back to Ku-ring-gai after attending the Remembrance Day ceremony at the Kirribilli RSL where I am a life member.

19.01.2022 Today I attended the sealing of a time capsule to mark the 75th birthday of the Gordon library. I was given a gift to mark my involvement and as council delegate to the Greater Sydney Library Committee. Pictured also is the morning tea provided by Ku-ring-gai Meals on Wheels, the Library Manager, Lynne, plus the mayor of Ku-ring-gai addressing the visitors.

15.01.2022 Good to be recognised for our contribution during the Counter-insurgency War in Malaysia 1970 - 1989. All gave some. Some gave all.

14.01.2022 It looks like some graffiti artists got bored with tagging walls. St John's Avenue, Gordon. What do you think of the "eat street" project?

11.01.2022 Dear JP The JP Appointments team is continuing to support Justices of the Peace during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic. Protecting your health and safety, and those that you support, remains our absolute priority.... As you would be aware, the NSW Government has issued a Public Health Order to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 infection. Within the order, it states that the two person rule does not apply to a gathering necessary for a person to fulfil a legal obligation. As JP services fall under this exception, a JP can continue to perform JP functions, provided they comply with social distancing measures. To help relieve many of your concerns, information about the steps you can take to safely provide Justice of the Peace services is available on the Department of Communities and Justice website. For the latest NSW Health advice, along with information on all other Government services, please visit the nsw.gov.au website. We encourage you to check these pages regularly and stay up-to-date with the latest advice, as the situation in NSW is evolving. Most importantly, please do not provide JP services if you feel unwell, or you are self-isolating or under quarantine. It is not unreasonable to refuse to provide JP services if you or your family's health is at risk. If you are an older person (aged 60 years and over) or someone who is at-risk, you should consider limiting physical contact with other people. New COVID-19 regulations The NSW Attorney General, Mark Speakman, has introduced new regulations to enable legal documents to be witnessed remotely so that face-to-face contact is reduced during the COVID-19 pandemic. This change is in addition to the ability to provide services in person. As a NSW Justice of the Peace (JP), you can now witness statutory declarations and affidavits in real time via audio visual link (AVL). A scanned copy of the signed document can be sent to the witnessing JP. The JP should then sign the document as soon as practicable after witnessing the signing of the document. All tasks associated with witnessing can also be satisfied via AVL. The changes have been introduced under Section 17 of the Electronic Transactions Act and will be in effect until 26 September 2020, subject to any further regulation. For more information, please read the Witnessing legal documents online factsheet or visit the Department of Communities and Justice COVID-19 website. General information about Justice of the Peace services also remains available on the Justice of the Peace website. If you cannot find the answer to your question on any of these pages, please email [email protected] and a member of the team will contact you within three business days. Thank you for your patience and support during this unfamiliar time. Together we can help stop the spread of COVID-19. Kind regards Appointments and Applications team Department of Communities and Justice

10.01.2022 In this time of reduced activity, it's good to see the council still heavily involved in making Ku-ring-gai a better place to live. This photo taken at Soldier's Memorial Park.

10.01.2022 It seems my past is catching up with me.... legacy of my military service in (left) the civil war in Malaysia and (right) other things in other parts of the region.

06.01.2022 Interesting to see the polarised email from residents over the Housing Strategy. Obviously, some just don't understand what happened last night. Equally as interesting, those who support us actually saw the meeting, while the majority of those who don't only "heard about it".

06.01.2022 Interesting article... https://www.theleader.com.au//ban-the-puppet-masters-not-/

05.01.2022 I make no secret of the fact that I am against wasting ratepayers' and residents' money, particularly on the climate change fantasy. I agree man has had an impact on the planet. The quantum of that impact is yet to be decided. Formulating policy based on scare mongering and rubbery evidence is not good sense, in my view. https://youtu.be/opKudAhwrPI

04.01.2022 Some of the signage Council has put up in Soldier's Memorial Park, Lindfield to raise community awareness, plus comply with prevailing health precautions.
