If you've ever met Cathy you'll know she is lovely, genuine, caring person and a great swimming instructor. 23.01.2022 A big congratulations to Peter McMahon on the completion of the Virtual Thames Marathon this month. Peter completed the 14km swim over the course of a week in both pool and ocean swim locations. Today he got to show off the latest addition to his vast collection!

This week, we ask all swimmers (Stepping Stones to Squad) to wear old clothes over the top of their swimmers. Why? This week, additional emphasis is placed on survival activities because in the unfortunate event that your child ever falls into a body of water, it is unlikely that they'll be dressed for swimming and have goggles on.... Always Swim Safer!

Lucy has taught thousands of children the lifesaving skill of swimming during her 18 years at the Swim Factory and we know there will be many more in the future as there are no signs Lucy will be slowing down any time soon!

20.01.2022 Congratulations to our very own instructor Tahnee on being awarded the Leah Neale Cup at the St Mary’s College swimming carnival earlier this year. Tahnee was recently featured in the QT for her swimming achievements including being awarded champion for five years, winning the Leah Neale cup the past two years and making the Met West team for the past 3 years. In her final year of study, Tahnee loves swimming and feels it to be really rewarding and a great stress reliever. She also enjoys the social aspect swimming provides - I have met lots of great people through my involvement in swimming and it helps me to meet new friends and make new connections regularly

17.01.2022 Meet the Team - Tony Tony has been the General Manager of Peter McMahon’s Swim Factory since 2012 but did you know that he started working in the aquatic industry as a volunteer in 1988 before becoming a qualified instructor in 1990? Originally from the UK, Tony now calls Australia home and he enjoys seeing students progress not only in their swimming ability but also in confidence and self-esteem. Swimming promotes cognitive and physical development and Tony is proud of what... the Swim Factory stands for and what we do for all our swimmers. Tony was also a Lifeguard for many years so understands that swimming is such an important lifesaving skill. When Tony isn’t at work, he spends his time with his wife and two daughters. He’s also a huge fan of Liverpool Football Club and watches them every chance he gets!
