24.01.2022 An Update in regards to my brother Des. What triggered to seizures is thought to be Methanol poising from Des taking a swig of a small bottle of Johnny Walker Red label scotch whiskey that dad had not opened and kept for possible 30+ years. After taking the swig Des spat it out and saying it was horrible. Des complained that he couldnt get the taste out of his mouth. Later on he was light headed then had the first seizure.... The hospital treated it as toxic poisoning as old spirts if they are not stored correctly can turn into methanol. The hospital put him into an induced coma and then ran his blood through a dialysis machine as well as the appropriate drip. The doctors told his wife that this could be fatal and that he is a very lucky man due to the quick response. Last night they reduced his sedation and this morning they stopped all together. He is now awake and moving around in his bed ok and even laughing with his family. He will be moved from Intensive Care to a Ward later today or tomorrow. The medical team say that he was very lucky as he was a very sick man. Thank you for praying and please pray for a full recovery. Peter & Neroli

14.01.2022 Great news Des was discharged from the Gold Coast Hospital late yesterday and resting at home. He is very tired and has a lung infection which is common in patients who have been ventilated. We visited him this morning and it was sooooo good to give him a hug. His body will take some time to heal and recover but he is alive and well. Thank you God!

09.01.2022 In September 2016 I have the privilege of presenting one of the 3 Keynote Presentations at the very first Joint Conference of PACFA (Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia), CCAA (Christian Counsellors Association of Australia), SCAPE (Society of Counselling and Psychotherapy Educators) and APECA (Association of Psychological and Educational Counsellors of Asia Pacific). My topic is A Neuropsychotherapy Approach with Counselling Couples. A number of therapis...ts and researches have stated that for intimate relationships to be successful then we as people need to grow. I put it this way, a growing marriage/relationship is a product of growing people. In my presentation I will be explaining how our brains impact our relationship with our self, and then how this impacts our relationship with our significant other, as well as how our relationship with the other, impacts our relationship with our self. Once we can understand this interplay then we can move from surviving response, personally and relationally, to patterns of personal and relational growth. If you want it in the technical terms here it is. I will be outlining the Neuroscience fundamentals that underpin the Integrated model of Neuropsythotherapy by Professor Pieter J Rossouw (2014). I will then be exploring how these principles occur within the interpersonal interactions between couples and the two way directional impact of each individuals intrapersonal dynamics. More about this conference http://australiantherapyconferences.org.au/# As I stated in my previous post there have been a small group of people who have complained to PACFA that I am presenting at this years conference. I dont know these people nor have I been informed who they are, however I have read their complaints. Hence, I want to clarify and inform people the content that I will be covering at this conference.
09.01.2022 Over the past week or so there have been a small group of people who have contacted my professional body to raise concerns about what they perceived as my beliefs in relation to LGBTI people. In raising their concerns one of these people has vilified me in making statements that are not true. This post is a response to the assumptions that this particular persons has made about me. ... Why am I doing this on my Official Facebook Page? Because this is the medium that this particular person referenced in their concerns to our professional body. Therefore I think it is appropriate to clarify my beliefs within this forum. None of these people have made contact with me nor do I know who they are. 1. I endorse PACFAs Position Statement on therapeutic support for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual, transgender and intersex individuals and their families. http://www.pacfa.org.au//PACFA-Position-Statement-on-thera 2. If I did view LGBTI people as pathological and deviant then why would I have Dr Wendell Rosevear O.A.M. (who is highly recognized for his work within the LGBTI community and in fact was awarded the SameSame25 award as one of the 25 Most Influential Gay & Lesbian Australians in 2011) as a guest on Talking Life, on Sunday 10 July 2016, on the topic of Men affected by Rape and Sexual Assault? 3. Serval times on radio I have challenged the current discourse of Domestic and Family Violence as this perspective fails to address men as victims as well as LGBT people. When in fact the highest rates of intimate partner violence occurs within LGBT relationships and the current genre fails to offer any support for victims other than female heterosexuals. 4. I support and defend the 86 legal changes that have occurred over the past few years that that make LGBTI people no different to any others within our community. 5. I have friends who are homosexual. And I have had clients from the LGBTI community. They would be appalled that these assumptions have been made about me from afar without finding out what I actually believe. 6. Because I do not support the redefining of marriage for a number of philosophical reason, (which is my democratic right) does not equate with being anti-gay or homophobic or a promoter of hate. These are two separate issues!

02.01.2022 Online Pornography is Harming our Children If you are concerned about protecting our children or if you have your own story about the negative impact that exposure to porn as a child has had on you then I implore you to take a few minutes and to speak up on behalf of children and young people. 02.01.2022 Thanks to all those who have prayed for our family and sent condolences in regards to Dads funeral yesterday. The funeral went really well and Dad was honoured, true to how he was, which was quite a character. Unfortunately our day didnt end well as my younger brother Des, who has been carrying the load in regards to mum and dad the past couple of years, had a major seizure late in the afternoon and was hospitalised at the Gold Coast Uni Hospital. He has been in an induced c...oma and on a ventilator. He is stable and doing okay with a high probability of a full recovery. Please pray. Thanks Peter & Neroli
