23.01.2022 It is official now!

23.01.2022 Down For The Count replacement bass...no noise...no buzzing and no mistakes....at last!

23.01.2022 Today is replacing the original plonky keys with better quality plonky keys!

21.01.2022 Interesting read and beckons the question are we rediscovering not so ancient technology....and the crowd goes ohhhh!

20.01.2022 I normally start with " this was a long drawn out process" and it was lol! I tried to leave everything intact including the crowd shots. You may recognise someone or even yourself. I noticed a few myself, Peter Tubbs snapping away with his camera, Cowboy who was no stranger to doing security at the our gigs at the Downtowner and I think a very young Darren Clemments with hair also. Carol Franklin and possibly Sharn Hitchens dancing in the crowd. Right at the end of the One X... One set you hear and see very briefly the late great Gary Sparks on saxophone ( a wee tribute at the end of this video) playing one of our originals, Secret Appearance, a shame there wasnt a little more footage, oh well! A special mention to the Vagrantz featuring the late and very great Jason Patmore up front and the very young Jodie Smith on Tambo and vocals. I am featuring the original, Why Cant It Be Me, recorded by One By One and mixed by George Goerss. A pleasant little trip down memory lane, and that annoying hum at the start of Rev It Up was killed off by George Goerss, a big thanks to my audio and video software, Reaper, Da Vincii Resolve and Neat Video, cheers Peter! See more

20.01.2022 Geez I hate it when this happens and it was on a practice pad!

19.01.2022 I wonder how many were missed?

19.01.2022 My new cover page

16.01.2022 Some lite reading

16.01.2022 A big ciao to my Italian family, Geena Wichryk, Julia Fisichella friends especially my hair dresser in Pisa, Thomas Vannini and Manu Iseppi. My song, Down For The Count is now available on TIMMUSIC in Italy. https://www.timmusic.it/album/86062113

16.01.2022 That’s one down! Simple but effective! The song is waiting for a new vocal, stay tuned!

15.01.2022 It seems to be getting a little guitar heavy in my studio. The Seagull is so sweet to play and I can manage a C, F and a B sharp one after the other!

15.01.2022 For my second song a Seagull S6 GT Trans-Blueburst Acoustic Guitar. I know it is not Black but at half price and a wider neck for arthritic old fingers an incredibly well timed bargain. The song is musically finished except for a guitar and is tentatively named blue, blue, blue my sister Debbs favourite colour. It could be a little sad! Thanks acousticcentre.com.au

15.01.2022 Met Steve Driver at the Foreshore Tavern after my band, Deafeyes played with Shifters. Fellow Kiwi, great singer/frontman supported by the equally talented guitarist Jimmy Reece!

15.01.2022 The new album by Harvey Summers is a stunning soundscape that needs a movie. This video is gorgeous and feeds one of my guilty pleasures, Astronomy!

13.01.2022 A new platform for my song, Down For The Count, both in the United States and Australia offering either a 320kbps MP3 or a 16-bit/44.1 khz FLAC. https://us.7digital.com//rele/down-for-the-count-14516316 https://www.zdigital.com.au///down-for-the-count-14516316

13.01.2022 Everything is on track for my firest release. Finishing all my in house recording and extremely happy with my guitar. Drums are nearly there so when I am done it will be off to Harvey Summers for some special Keyboards, Brass, final mix and full Mastering...gulp!

12.01.2022 Love those flavors and a culturally beautiful mix. The things you find in this great big country of ours!

11.01.2022 I love accidentally finding a new artist, well new to me while researching something else. She makes you want to breath deeper with her soothing lyrical voice. I love sharing these treasures and hopefully broadening peoples play lists. giving heart that these young artists are keeping an Australian scene alive!

10.01.2022 The kiwi connection! Colin Bayley one of my musical heroes!

08.01.2022 My original post disappeared so here is an amazing song by a very talented young Australian artist!

07.01.2022 Dear midi cable please be easy to use with my ancient Yamaha keyboard!

07.01.2022 When you own one mic and you want your snare to be real, you do what you have to do with what you have!

07.01.2022 This is a refreshingly killer cover of a song that because of this version I actually like now.

06.01.2022 Something is taking over my studio and it’s not talent!

06.01.2022 Hey on the look out for some Simmons Electronic drum pads to use as a prop, any colour and need not work just be able to take a beating!

05.01.2022 Gerry Murrell sung his heart out yesterday and then the last steps began. 6am is a very noisy time of the day so stumps were pulled. To be honest at about 5ish the brain was not running on all cylinders.

03.01.2022 PJ Harvey is one of my guilty pleasures musically and this pumps along nicely

03.01.2022 Recorded my real kick drum also with a room mic pointing under a desk where some yummy low end was. Changed the Shure Sm57 for condenser mic with a great result! Getting close!
