25.01.2022 Time for another episode of SillyTime. Tonight we have some poems. I love writing these types of poems using words that sound the same but have different meanings.
24.01.2022 I've done many interviews over the years and often they're rather shallow, but this piece by Jasmin Teurlings, published in The Adelaide Review, has real substance. It touches on some important issues for children and is beautifully written.
24.01.2022 Back in gorgeous Burleigh Heads visiting my son, daughter-in-law and 2 grand daughters...maybe squeeze in 2 mini concerts
22.01.2022 You dont need to go to England to see ruins. You can find them in outback South Australia!

18.01.2022 I hope you have enjoyed the two little video series I have recently released. Should I do more? If so, what would you like to see?! In the meantime, here is the LullabyTime series in full to enjoy during those quieter moments :)
18.01.2022 To all my special friends in Melbourne.
18.01.2022 The OAM investiture yesterday was a very dignified ceremony at Government House under Covid conditions with me receiving the medal followed by a chat with the SA Governor. He said there was a guitar nearby ready to be played but I resisted the temptation! Theres a time and a place...
18.01.2022 Fun to do a podcast with my sister in laws brother Tim Dansie. Tim and I share common interests in music, football, humour and kids
17.01.2022 We have come to the finale of LullabyTime! Our final song is one of my very favourite songs to sing, and being the end of the series we have added a little extra magic to this one. Thank you all for listening to LullabyTime. I hope you have enjoyed it and maybe it's helped a little with bedtime at your place :)
17.01.2022 Welcome to SillyTime! Our first collection of silly stories is all about a rather strange cat, Her Maj the Queen, and the Newspaper Mama herself. Tune in every Monday, Wednesday and Friday for a fresh serving of SillyTime.
17.01.2022 Some sad news. Neville Clark, who mastered all my albums from Little Groover (1996) onwards, died on Friday. Neville was the go to man in Adelaide for mastering and as a long time colleague and friend, I held him in very high esteem. I and all my musical colleagues found him an absolute delight to work with and so good at what he did. He mastered with skill, care and passion. Along with his wife Ros, it was always a pleasure visiting Nevilles work place Disk-Edits. Hell be greatly missed by all who knew him.
17.01.2022 The Toffee Apple film clip has just hit half a million views on YouTube! Toffee Apple was my ‘breakthrough’ album and I can still remember making the videoclip in 1987 with the kids, some of whom had never crossed Sydney Harbour Bridge before. A lovely memory. Watch the clip here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3ph5iibavY
16.01.2022 Peter performs live from his home during the SA lockdown!
15.01.2022 Victoria’s had a bad run with COVID 19, now we South Australians are in for a bumpy ride, hopefully a short lived one. Hang in there everyone and look after each other. 6 days is not too long. #stayhome #wearamask
15.01.2022 My first gig in 4 and a half months (!), a special one at the preschool where my 2 grand daughters attend and have attended. You can see them in the pic sitting next me, Charlie the eldest on my right and Evie on my left. So nice to be performing again!
14.01.2022 Kids first heard Mr Clicketty Cane, also known as Wash Your Face in Orange Juice, in 1984 on cassette, then vinyl (LP) then CD and now Spotify, where it has just passed 2m streams! Lovely that its been listened to by 3 generations of kids, on 4 generations of music players.
13.01.2022 It's SillyTime again! Tonight we have the story of the very messy little chef, Jeffrey Hill. #sillytime

06.01.2022 Tonight's song is all about that lovely feeling when you cuddle up in bed after a long day playing. And for this song I'll be joined by the virtual Kiddywinks Band!
06.01.2022 An unlikely tale...Going to my my elderly mother-in-laws house yesterday (as one does!) I discovered after inserting the keys into the 2 front door locks, I couldnt get either key out! Mm... tricky. For about 20 minutes I wiggled and jiggled the keys but both remained stubbornly stuck in the locks. What to do..? Ring a locksmith I thought. I did. He said hed be there in about 20 minutes. Whilst speaking to the locksmith on the phone, a tradesman, like the fairy godmother ...in Cinderella, had literally appeared in front of me! Thinking hed be a better handyman than me (that wouldnt be difficult) I asked him if hed have a go at getting the keys out of the locks. He said Sure, why pay a locksmith $150-200 when I can do it for free? He quickly and easily extracted the 2 keys. I immediately cancelled the locksmith. I asked the tradesman how he knew so much about door locks. My best mate is a locksmith he said. After about 35 minutes, having dismantled both locks and repaired them, my new handyman friend Phil, having thanked him profusely, left. I stood in the doorway in a state of semi-disbelief and in the words of Basil Fawlty thought, for the first time in my life Im ahead!' So Phil, if you're out there, thanks again!
06.01.2022 Do you have ears? A tongue? Teeth? Then this lullaby's for you.
05.01.2022 It was great to do a school concert/incursion yesterday, my first since November last year (pre Covid). Because nothing beats performing to a live audience, I've decided to do some school shows this year in my home town Adelaide. So if youd like a show at your school simply email me at [email protected] and well work out a mutually convenient date https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_E8obAyhtQ

02.01.2022 Thousands of South Australian families are in strict lockdown for the next few days. I myself was going to be performing at a number of schools this week and next. That probably can’t happen now, so I thought I would bring the concert to you all, from my home to yours! Join me tomorrow at 2pm SA time for a Facebook Live little lockdown gig. I hope to see you there! p.s those in other states are welcome too :)
01.01.2022 Looking forward to doing some more school shows (incursions) in Adelaide over the next few months. Email me at [email protected] if your school would like a concert
