I feel both privileged and humbled that you have entrusted me with this responsibility for the next four years. 02.01.2022 Last Wednesday November 11th I was sworn in as a Councillor for the City of Ballarat. I am posting a copy of my speech to Council that night as I believe it gives you a clear insight into my aspirations. Madam CEO I would like to thank the ratepayers of the North Ward for placing their trust and confidence in me. I promise to serve to the best of my ability and to faithfully represent the people of Ballarat. I hope that the experiences I have gained throughout my life contri...bute to my effectiveness as a Councillor. I would like to thank my wife Maxine and my daughter Jess for their support in allowing me to pursue my goal of being elected to Council. Ballarat is a great city which will continue to be amongst the best in Regional Australia if we manage and govern the city fairly and effectively. We must respect our heritage, improve our sustainability, and deliver well planned growth as a major regional community. To achieve this, we must work cohesively and respectfully as a Council and deliver what the community expects of us. I am both excited and privileged to have this opportunity to serve you. Thank you.
