18.01.2022 Update from the Premier Mark McGowan with updated quarantine rules for those returning from Eastern States. In recent months, in light of Victoria's outbreak and community transmission of COVID-19 in New South Wales, those States have been subject to additional conditions for travel to Western Australia. With the situation improving in those States, and the development of a crucial new tool to support self-quarantine in Western Australia, we are now able to adjust those cond...Continue reading

15.01.2022 Living and working in a mining town which regularly calls out for skilled workers, I know how important it is that our TAFE campuses are fit for contemporary (& future) course delivery. That's why the McGowan Government is committed to TAFE improvements so that attending a TAFE is even more accessible to West Aussies across our State. Together with the Federal Government, we’re announcing $8 million to upgrade TAFE campuses across WA as part of the Revitalising TAFE Campuses... Across Australia program. The program will deliver important upgrades to vocational infrastructure and improved training delivery. This is in addition to the State Government’s $229.2 million Rebuilding our TAFEs investment to revitalise training and upgrade essential infrastructure across the five WA TAFE colleges, delivering a pipeline of work for Western Australians.

04.01.2022 Update from the Premier Mark McGowan regarding the crew of the Patricia Oldendorff. There is a community forum being held in South Hedland tomorrow 30th September 5pm at Wanangkura Stadium with the Health Minister Roger Cook, Ports Minister, Alannah Mactiernan, Department of Health and others. All welcome.
02.01.2022 Pausing to remember the sacrifices made by our Police. A national Police Remembrance Day is commemorated each year on 29 September as a way of remembering officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice. All officers and their families know that policing can sometimes be a dangerous job but when a life is taken, the "police family" pulls together to support and care for one another.... When tragedy strikes, WA Police Legacy is there to offer more immediate and direct assistance to the spouses and their loved ones. For all ceremonies a blue and white chequered ribbon is worn to remember those fallen members and to take strength in the knowledge that their memory lives on in our hearts. We will remember.
