25.01.2022 Katherine Gorge After leaving Darwin on our 2019 Easter trip, we spent the next few days in the Nitmiluk National Park. Most of our time was spent exploring the Katherine Gorge. This is a spectacular part of the country, and when the sun is out the walls of the gorge display beautiful hues of orange and red. Here are a few shots taken during our stay. #KathrineGorge #NitmilukNationalPark #NorthernTerritory #Australia #SouthernRockHole #KatherineRiver

19.01.2022 I hope everyone is keeping safe and well as we all do our best to minimise the spread of the coronavirus. Your health and wellbeing, and that of your family and friends, is the most important thing to be looking after right now. Given the current situation, we will not be travelling for the foreseeable future. We have cancelled our forthcoming trip to the USA and Peru, and will probably need to postpone our mid-year trip to Greenland. We'll see how the world is faring afte...r that. Meanwhile, I will periodically share some of my stock photos with you. The following months will be a good opportunity to process the many images that I still need to work on. For those of you who are waiting on the photos from our December trip to Yellowstone National Park, we will now have the time to finalise them. I hope to have them available in the next week or so. Here are two of my favourite shots from Australia (the Devil's Marbles, near Alice Springs in the Northern Territory) and New Zealand (the Champagne Pool at the Wai-O-Tapu thermal park near Rotorua on the North Island). I hope you enjoy.

11.01.2022 Gang-Gang Cockatoos While in home isolation this morning, we spotted a pair of Gang-gang cockatoos in the eucalyptus trees out front. A bright red head signifies male and a dark grey head signifies female. They normally live in mountain forests and woodlands in south east Australia, and reductions in numbers has caused the bird to be listed as vulnerable in New South Wales. It was great to see these two having breakfast at our place this morning. #ganggangcockatoos #cockatoos #Australianbirds #Australianfauna

06.01.2022 Litchfield National Park during Easter 2019 This is the final post from our Easter trip in 2019. We spent the last few days of our trip in the Litchfield National Park. The weather was magnificent and the scenery continued to amaze us. There was still plenty of water from the wet season, and this ensured that Wangi Falls was at its best. We will certainly return once the travel restrictions are lifted. We've enjoyed sharing our memories and hope you have enjoyed viewing a... wonderful part of Australia. #LitchfieldNationalPark #WangiFalls #TermiteMounts #MagneticTermiteMounts #NorthernTerritory #Australia

04.01.2022 Looking back on Easter 2019 ... we had a family trip to the Northern Territory where I was able to photograph several beautiful locations. Today I thought you might like to see a sunset photo taken during our stopover in Brisbane. We then went out to Fogg Dam on our first full day in the NT. Fogg Dam is only an hour's drive from Darwin and is an excellent spot to view wildlife, native flowers, wonderful sunsets and the occasional crocodile. #Darwin #NorthernTerritory #FoggDamConservationReserve #Brisbane #BrisbaneSunset #StoreyBridge
