24.01.2022 Ghost fungus under the Southern Cross. Over the last few months ‘‘twas the season to find the Ghost fungus on the island. The light they produce is from a oxidation dance between the enzyme Luciferase (Lucifer means light) , luciferin and oxygen. They release green photons of light. 23.01.2022 Blade. When waves collide. Back to work doing tours on the island this last week. Shall be posting some of the images I shot during isolation. 20.01.2022 Thought I would finish the year with some regeneration images from recent bushfire on the island. These new shoots are the children of ancestors chosen and refined by millennia of seasonal fire. They are emerging now, new and resilient from the ashes. A survival gift from all those that came before them. Lets hope we can start the new year the same way and leave 2020 behind us!! Wishing everyone a Happy New Year. 13.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Just thought I would share a link with you all about a Documentary that will be aired on ABC on the 9th of June. Its called "Australia's Ocean Odyssey".and The Cinematography and message in this documentary is as good as anything I have ever watched. They have leading experts in every field so I feel very privelaged to have worked with them. The footage they managed to capture on Fraser is truly beautiful. Try and watch it if you can. 12.01.2022 Rainbows. Rainbow Lorikeets (Trichoglossus moluccanus) are enjoying the nectar from the flowering Swamp Mahogany trees(Eucalyptus gumifera) all around the resort at the moment. I am finding them very difficult to capture as they are super fast. They sound like fighter jets when they pass overhead.
