22.01.2022 There’s more than one way to make an entrance. Here are just a few from ongoing works at North Richmond.

22.01.2022 Ever seen inside an underground water tank ? This Bilpin client was losing water at an unacceptable rate. We were blessed with cool weather for this one. Cleaning and prep work shown, sadly we didn’t grab a photo of the finished job before water had to go in (time sensitive to integrity of the repairs)

21.01.2022 Check this out for a front fence and gateway. Making a bold modern statement with rendered columns and timber slats (yet to be installed)

19.01.2022 Back in December/January (remember the 40+ degree days and bushfires ) we had the privilege of working on this quality renovation and extension in Kurrajong. A mixture of old and new brickwork needed to be addressed, as well as a few cosmetic corrections to allow the original home to flow flawlessly into the new addition. Cement Render to the majority and Acrylic to the upper verandah. There are some jobs you look forward to revisiting once all the trades have finished. This... is one. Design Building & Carpentry has an attention to detail like no other. Matt’s open minded collaboration made tackling the ‘tricky things’ an enjoyable challenge. Scaffolding again thanks to Scaffsafe.

17.01.2022 Rain, hail, or shine..... Should we call it quits ?

16.01.2022 When the render cures and the bricks disappear, this double entry driveway will look superb. Featuring ‘Sandstone’ fine texture cement bagged render and blockwork detail. Will be fitted with black panel fencing and automatic sliding gates. Loving these ‘Statement’ frontages What do you think ?

09.01.2022 Not all Rendering is equal From a distance you may not see, but when you get closer, it becomes clear the quality of the finish just doesn’t compare. The texture and corners just arent acceptable Even on our incomplete pier here, you can see what the finish should look like

07.01.2022 Bagging to an extension on a challenging site made easier by ‘Scaffsafe’

07.01.2022 Assessment of a very early building in Richmond requiring repairs involved deeper investigation. A corroded steel header was found to be causing cracks to the exterior as well as the brickwork. The header had swollen to more than twice it’s original thickness.

05.01.2022 When the client says ‘Make it a feature’

04.01.2022 When this one cures fully, a coat of paint will really bring this Glossodia home up beautifully. Do you recognise this one ?
